I don't think you'd go too far wrong with either, although that 430 looks like its sitting way too high. Looks like a kit car.

This article shows just how underpriced the 360 still is, a manual non red car can be picked up for around £65-70k which is a bargain compared to a manual 355 or 430.

Neither as this is McLaren money, it's also Testarossa/F355 money. If I had to have one, it'd be the F430 (with some change for a new set of wheels).

It has been debated a lot in the Supercars section. The majority verdict there was 458, all day long. Moderner, reliabler, prettier and faster.

Manual F430 for me ! angel

It is the last manual mid-engine Ferrari. With that great N/A 4.3L V8, playing with that gearbox is just pure HEAVEN.

The 458 is a fabulous car of course, but the F430 does feel more analog and raw. And with the 6-speed manual, that transforms the whole experience.

Only 5% of the F430 built world-wide were manual. So, a very rare car. Rarer than the Scuderia indeed.

You guys must test drive a manual F430, that's an astonishing machine.

neither. both v. ugly. Older cars - 355, 328, 308 - all have style (and mostly a manual gearbox).

Right now, and I hate to say it, I don't think either are aging particularly well. The 355 design still looks very timeless. The other two? Not so much.

The 360 Modena has aged very well and become a very pretty thing in it's old age but the F430 (at least in non-Scuderia form) looks a bit like it's been scrunched up. It's a bit frumpy, especially with the Challenge wheels.

I certainly wouldn't turn it down if someone were to gift it to me however.

F430

I think they sound better too especially before the valves open and during opening.

As a car for driving the 512TR is apparently leagues ahead.

Strange how dated the 430 looks. Never really thought about it before but those pics make the 430 design look ancient compared to a 458. Neither do much for me though. Would far rather a 355, although the 360 is creeping into my affections too.

I think the 512TR got the styling right too. All the best bits of the Testarossa but with a little more refinement around the front and rear. 512m front end is a bit more of an aquired taste. I blow a little hot and cold on that one. Would happily take any of them mind smile

430 is an awful looking car IMO. Such a mishmash of clashing styling cues. No cohesion at all.

458 is far better resolved.

or you could save £30k and buy this one - http://www.thboler.com/used-cars/7629595-ferrari-f... and not be afraid to use it, the trouble with a 7k miles car that you'd bought of the top of the market is that you'd be terrified to push it past the 10k miles for fear of what it will do for the value...

i wouldn't be buying that black 458 either, the Red one though at £10k more looks a much better proposition IMO

328 GTB and 348 GTB do it for me. Love the compact sports car styling. I don't care about practicality, reliability, ergonomics, interior design, shift times etc. It's a damn Ferrari.
