Yes I have changed the spelling smartarse, have your medal.

Anyway i am surprised that a role for an disabled veteran wasn't filled by an actual one.

I just hope it is good and not hotel Babylon.

What's the point of a nom-de-plume if you publish the fact that you're using a pseudonym?

Reading up it was leaked by her lawyers she never told anyone as she wanted to go back to before she was a worth st loads. But as soon as it was leaked it went into the best seller, so a cynical person could say it was not going to last long.

So far I'm not sure it's for me. I'll give episode 2 a go if I remember and I don't find something else better to watch.

Just incase anyone doesn't realise, Episode 2 is tomorrow night and Episode 3 is next Sunday.

Well done dumbarse. No prize for you, though.

Like all the other spelling sadsacks, who only contribution on a thread is to correct other people spelling, what a truly sad existence to have.

...i thought it was quite good, will be watching the next episodes.

Not a fan of JKR stuff but I think this has legs.

Odd scheduling though.

Looks like a further two, two part programmes to follow.

Presumably the pun was intended?

I agree it looks good, I think that it is episode 2 of 3 tonight. Fortunately I set up series link as I had assumed next Sunday would be episode 2 and its BBQ with friends tonight.

Kind of liked it, just some of the characters/acting was pretty poor. It seemed a bit drama school production rather than BBC drama to me. Won't put me off watching the next one.

I enjoyed this even it it was all a bit clichéd. A private detective called "Cormoran strike" reminded me a bit of Alan Partridge's detective called Swallow. Also a veteran ex-military police, war hero with a limp? I'm kinda surprised he also didn't smoke a pipe!

The books were appalling ; I read one and was shocked how poor it was. I tried another and couldn't be arsed to finish it. Daft plotting and , clunky characterisation .

It's a good job he got paid "up front".

Finding out it was the client "what done it" is not exactly a plausible plot line. But enjoyable all the same.

I thought there was more than a bit of plagiarism in some of the ideas too. Enjoyed the show ignoring that and various continuity errors, e.g. he gets out of parked car, truck about to pass parked vehicle, second later shot from rear of vehicle down street, truck nowhere in sight, in a second it's got to the end of the street over a hundred yards away, and turned right or left out of sight into the traffic, ok perhaps standard London ttty driving then.

I liked it
I loved the opening titles with the aged typeface effect
Genuinely very good
