BMW UK Sunday Service 17/09

Desperate to see the new M5? Do we have the Sunday Service for you!

Next up on our Sunday Service calendar is a visit to BMW in Farnborough on Sunday September 17th for our very popular yearly visit. As ever, this is looking to be a great morning out, with lots of lovely BMWs to dribble over (not literally, though, please...).

Want to see it? Get yourself to Farnborough!
Want to see it? Get yourself to Farnborough!
BMW are, as usual, making every effort to supply PH with a great Sunday Service, and they're doing so by providing us with a complimentary sandwich and drink each (best get the important stuff sorted first), as well as displaying the incredible M5 heritage cars, the rather special M4 DTM, M4 CS and M2, as well as various Minis. Oh yes, and there will also be the brand spanking new 600hp F90 M5 there for us to have a jolly good poke around; it will be one of the first UK views of the car, so surely that's worth the trip alone!

I'm also a bit of a sucker for the two-wheeled offerings BMW Motorrad has, and I'm sure some of you are the same, so there will also be a few bikes inside to admire.

We'll start the day at 0900h and tuck into our complimentary sandwich/drink; after a fun filled morning we expect to finish at around 1300h. We have space for a maximum of 250 cars but 500-600 attendees, so bring your friends along too!

Make sure you secure your space on this Sunday Service by signing up to our calendar here. A massive thank you to BMW, too, for opening up their doors to us again - see you then!

Get yourself a space here.

Date: September 17th, 2017
Cost: None, but we like biscuits...
Time: 0900-1300h
Space: 250 cars, up to 600 people

Address:
BMW UK Ltd
Summit ONE
Summit Avenue,
Farnborough
Hampshire,
GU14 0FB

I'll be heading back SE I'm afraid, likely working my way over some roads down toward the S. Downs National Park and back to SE London via Hindhead to give the Larini a workout smile

Good roads heading southeast around Odiham towards South Downs and especially around Meon Valley. However, be warned Meon Valley is a big hit with the bikers and therefore there are frequent police traps in the area.

Wow, considering the event opened up on PH a few hours ago that filled up fast!

I'm at 284 for now.

I have a (unashamedly biased) one-off suggestion for this SS: considering the location and the appearance of the brand new M5, along with the BMW heritage fleet, could PH set aside an M5 exclusive parking area (there are 19 currently on the list to attend) so that they could be viewed and enjoyed as our own historical display of the model?!

Annoyingly I got back from work late, only just signed up, and am some way down the reserve list with my E28 M5 but will hopefully get in by the time the weeks have passed!

The route I’ve posted takes you on the B2141 probably the best road in the south so although it takes you down to Goodwood it’s worth the trip.

Shame I can't make this as I would love to take my F10 M5 but I'll be overseas... I will instead look forward to the photos.
