X3 - I'm on my third.....
I remember the terrible ride on them; completely unacceptable for that kind of car. What do you actually like about it? Can't think of any redeeming feature.
At the time going from a 3 series it was bigger and familiar. The other thing was that there wasn't anything else the same size, an X5 was too big.
I also need something capable of doing this....
And this

We had a Lexus ES (Same as a GS but electric hybrid, or so it seemed) as an Uber in Chicago 2 weeks ago.
Have to say, it was lovely as a ride from a passenger perspective. Great interior and very luxurious.
Although they are similar sizes, the ES and GS aren't the same (former is FWD, as opposed to the RWD GS). Have to say, it was lovely as a ride from a passenger perspective. Great interior and very luxurious.
I'm also a big fan of the GS, but there are some rumours circulating that Lexus will axe it and replace the GS with the ES internationally, as the key market is the USA, and the ES sells much better there - presumably because it is cheaper (being FWD enables it to platform-share with the Toyota Avalon) and still has the nice interior with Lexus badge.
It would be a real shame if they do though, because the GS is a fantastic car IMO.

Mk4 Golf, specifically the GT TDi ones with the PD engines.
Not the most fun vehicle in its class/age, I'd probably say the Mk1 Focus gets that one, but built like a tank and so effortlessly comfortable... kind of sad that a lot of the few that remain are probably going to be scrapped under the new scrappage scheme.
I had one of these up to 150k+ miles. Was destroyed when it got written off, genuinely believe I would've lasted another 150k just with the usual service and maintenance. Some of these can be taken with a pinch of salt as it depends what opinion you've heard most I suppose...
Fiat Panda, Renault Clio, Land Rover Defender, X6, Fiat Barchetta, Alfa Brera, Morris Minor, pretty much anything British Leyland made... That's all I can think of currently!
I don't think there is a car out there that hasn't, at some point, had an owner/driver complain about it.Fiat Panda, Renault Clio, Land Rover Defender, X6, Fiat Barchetta, Alfa Brera, Morris Minor, pretty much anything British Leyland made... That's all I can think of currently!

I don't think the Minor has ever been unpopular and I have a soft spot for the X6... luckily it's a bog in Southern Ireland.Fiat Panda, Renault Clio, Land Rover Defender, X6, Fiat Barchetta, Alfa Brera, Morris Minor, pretty much anything British Leyland made... That's all I can think of currently!
I guess it depends what you mean by unpopular. The very cars that I love aren't popular with most people: Elise, Exige, GT86, Caterham etc - most people would obviously prefer a comfortable hatchback or saloon In the PH arena, there are plenty of cars unpopular with PHers that I like; normally it's because the PH tendency is to go for the biggest and noisiest engine, which I also like a bit, but I like handling and slithering around to a much greater degree, so given the same chassis etc I'll usually prefer a lighter engine, smaller tyres and to hell with the power output or the noise the engine makes. That goes against the grain, and people on this forum have actually got quite nasty with me for saying it, but nevertheless that's my opinion and cars are subjective.

Did it happen to be covered in graffiti? If so it's my friends old one
Nah it was all blacked out with stupid sticky outy wheels with massively stretched tyres on it & a stickerbombed wing. It's a look I usually absolutely despise, especially when it is 'ruining' the dynamics of an otherwise competent car. But on those wee boxy things it just seems like it suites it. HTP99 said:
I'm a big fan of both the Multipla (original not facelift) and the Cube, I think the Cube was only officially on sale here for a couple of years.
We very nearly bought a Multipla, at the time my wife was a childminder and decided that she wanted the peace of mind of 7 seats so we ended up with a MkI Zafira.
We went through three of them while my wife was childminding, it could cope with 5 child seats of varying sizes a massive double buggy and all the paraphernalia. Kids loved it as there was good visibility from any seat.We very nearly bought a Multipla, at the time my wife was a childminder and decided that she wanted the peace of mind of 7 seats so we ended up with a MkI Zafira.

Firstly, I know it's a shocking retro pastiche thing, and I know it's a shocking barge of a yank tank, but I have a soft spot for the "new" Thunderbird.
This should be in the cars you never knew existed thread. Never seen one before. I get where you are coming from. Im not keen on the bonnet vent. From the A posts back, it reminds me of a Bentley. Azure.
Zafira - very unpopular on here but found it very useful (til I blew the engine).
3008 - the wife's current car, steering is weird and disconnected, it's sluggish and it hurts my back a bit, still, I quite like it's awkward chunkiness and would like to see how it would look with smaller wheels and great big offroad tyres for pure silliness.
