Some interesting stuff coming up here smile.

My 'coming out' -- always had a soft spott for first gen the Transit Connect. I just think the styling is nicely resolved, but then I also love the first gen Panda and the Niva...

Pity they never made that Express version with the Focus RS engine.

Just had to check the meaning of the word "unpopular", I wanted to make sure I'd not been taught the wrong meaning when at school:

unpopular

not liked by many people

Phew I was right!

A Jag X-Type 3.0 Auto in full Grandad Sovereign Spec. I have changed the oil in both transmission and transfer box and it appears absolutely straight and drives very well indeed.
£3000, 64000 miles, seems a fine buy and is a lovely place to be.

colt czt for me

unpopular in the sense that hardly any were bought. I don't mind the looks and kind of like it because it's rare.

Ferrari 348. Much prettier than the 355.
Vauxhall Signum. 4 adult seats is really useful. Boot cavernous. Only let down by being a Vauxhall.
944 turbo. Everyone raves about the 968 cs (for obvious reasons) but the 44t is only some suspension tweeks away from being great as well.

I love a new white Audi/BMW/Merc with black wheels that are too big.
Especially if it's on a lease or PCPd by someone who "shouldn't be able to afford it"

I like cars such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord - I know that both are huge sales successes in the US, but neither were particularly popular in the UK when they were sold here. Most people dismiss them as being dull, but I've always found them decent to drive, very smooth and comfortable, plus of course reliable. I like the Lexus GS and LS for similar reasons, they seem to be liked well-enough by petrolheads but don't sell very well in the UK.

I also like the Cadillac ATS and Lincoln Town Car.

Having owned 5 MGFs ad TFs, I have to say that I love them.

Never owned but have a soft spot for:

Chrysler/Talbot Alpine Solara Horizon and Tagora.

Austin Metro, Princess, Ambasador.

Morris Marina/Ital. especially the Sun-Tor campers.

It's been mentioned a few times before, but another vote here for the Vel Satis.

And because it's a perfect excuse to post a picture of one. biggrin

I'm ok with the Juke. Any car that attempts to make itself standout in an overcrowded, monotonous-looking market is good with me.

I'd go as far as saying that is my favourite 'hot hatch' on the market right now. Puts its self right at the ~200hp mark which on the road I'd prefer to the big 400hp behemoths, FWD with LSD, looks funky, bit of ground clearance for dodgy tracks & vaguely practical.

Also after seeing a rather interestingly modified one in Glasgow recently I've become rather fond of these:

Mk4 Golf, specifically the GT TDi ones with the PD engines.
Not the most fun vehicle in its class/age, I'd probably say the Mk1 Focus gets that one, but built like a tank and so effortlessly comfortable... kind of sad that a lot of the few that remain are probably going to be scrapped under the new scrappage scheme.

That's something severely lacking in many cars nowadays.
A couple of years ago my wife had a test-drive booked at a garage and the salesman said something like:
'This is a nice change because we can take this car out the front entrance despite the slope - a lot of cars nowadays have to drive out the back from our service yard because they'll get scuffed, damaged or grounded if we try to take them down the slope out the front'.
