looks so much better on those wheels. At least they are responding quickly to opinion.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are using the mustang traction control with the rest of the ecu... in which case that explains the lack of traction control. On the mustang the TC is almost non existent.

Looks bloody brilliant to me biggrin
Just wish I had the money.

To anyone who has ordered one, well done for being individual and brave enough to avoid the usual German suspects. I'm sure you'll have a great time driving the car and I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing you out on the road!

They should have put these sorts of vids out before launch.

Much more the sense of how 'real' the car is, being developed and poked by people who are clearly overjoyed by how much it scares the living f*ck out of them!

Driving about in a TVR nowadays, a frequent remark from any bloke under 35 is 'oh yeah its one of those mad ones off Gran Turismo'.

There is a looming generation of young men with the purchasing power to buy one on the never-never, as is the norm nowadays for most cars including 911s and the like. And they seem to hold the brand in a kind of mythical status, because as rare as they were on the road, the TVRs on Gran Turismo outlived the company and defeated the efforts of the most skilled gamers, being so difficult to drive and therefore a prize for the most determined button bashers of the day right until now.

Gamers respond to viral videos and guerilla tactics, and they have more money now than all the old farts at Goodwood. Are you listening TVR?

Won't it be great if this inspires Ferrari, etc, etc to design a light car again..
I wouldn't think Ferrari give a second of thought to TVR much less use it to determine their next model.

Looks good ; how great must those two feel - what a journey they have had
Bought a name and a so so back catalogue 3years ago- no customer Base or manufacturing left
Started from scratch; despite lots of neighsayers here they are - I definitely will test this- looks interesting
Only similar story (with lots more money involved in UK) rolls Royce in 90s
Best of luck guys well done!

Agree with Thankyou4calling. I think the guy in this video is giving a good idea for the attitude a TVR should aim for in this Ferrari/Porsche/BMW-world:

They need old and new enthusiasts for sure. For me, they need to a. go racing pronto and b. launch a modern day Speed 12.

Th sort of video that will do nothing to dissuade the nay-sayers that there is no substance behind the style, and that will convince the pro-camp that is a weapon.
I think judgement should be reserved until we get a wee bit more information on its dynamics, it's speed and it's character.
Personally I can't wait and wish I had the spare £££ and belief to have put a deposit down, I'm sure this will be a head-Turner whoever it goes (and hopefully leaves from, without breaking down...)

DP1 (development prototype 1 i assume) has an MBE 9A9 ecu fitted. This has basic traction control (drive wheel overspeed control) but no stability control, and that's assuming it's all been properly mapped....

Also, no obvious Xover Exh pipes showing (manifolds, cats, 180 bend, 90 bend into vertical silencer per side)

Looks like TVR is in good hands, just hope there are lots of orders. I'd have one if the numbers came in!

In other news, is that Gordon's Smart Roadster in the background? I have an S1 Elise now but strangely still miss my Roadster...
I bet you a £ to a penny it is, he's a big fan. Right at the other end of the scale when compared to this new TVR, but they were always fun on a decent back road.

Good luck to the TVR boys, refreshing that a new analogue sports car is being brought to market in this day and age.

I'm not sure on side exhausts. They sound really odd from the side as you can only hear one bank
If you have heard a Bizzarrini on full chat you would change your mind, they sound epic. crappy videos always sound awful on decent exhaust noise levels.

Hope that steering column is over-engineered - made me cringe watching the guy lever himself out of the car using the steering wheel!
Otherwise, v.nice to see it move.

It looks better out of the launch room spotlights but I'm still not in awe. The original was my teen poster car so perhaps I'm expecting too much.

Appreciate that this is lighter but having spent some time in an F Type SVR (similar 5.0 v8, 200mph etc) the Griff would have to be epic to get my money.

I'm staggered.

Staggered that people think this car will actually go into production.
