No links to the seller, but a sensibly priced E32 750il. Last owner 25 years - http://anym.co.uk/classified/9d1d8-bmw-7-series-75...

No MOT history available, but my guess is it’s just going through a cherished transfer.
Now on ebay and priced bumped from £3k to £8k. I bet the chap who owned it for 25 years is feeling a bit queasy.

Re: Barge meet.

How about Drax powerstation - as mentioned over the Christmas break? We’d need to book ahead of time to have a look-around after the car-park gather, but apart from that, it’s not too far from the A1/M1 and is “relatively” central for people - granted we can’t cover everyone.

I’m definitely up for one - the 7-series is back & running well, so a jaunt out to blow away the cobwebs would be just the ticket! (Nice as the M6 is, it’s not really a barge!)

I felt sure that would happen. It was too good to miss and someone thought the same. I went as far as an insurance quote (£240), looked in the piggy bank and it had gone.

I like the look of that. Currently creeping up to a little over 4 grand. The red interior lifts the silver nicely.

With a car this simple and cheap to maintain(!) why worry about a few peskily persistent warning lights? Anyone brave enough?

Bear in mind that (some) pesky warning lights will be attracting the attention of MOT testers from May.

Could be lucky and it's just linked to low voltage from A knackered battery but equally there could be some faulty bits, which I imagine are rare and expensive.

At last the A8 is devoid of warning lights so I'm up for that too. Saturday tours only at weekends if my memory's correct and names required in advance I think but should be interesting to see round. How about just over a week's time when snow is forecast...?

Dont like that at all. First the advert says 102k, when the odo shows 112, then theres the 2 rusty wings (for starters), the passenger side is 3 colours and the door doesnt line up, then trim issues, then warning lights.

I'd strongly expect some people are bidding against the owner or his friends since at £4k, that will likely end up at £8k by the time the car is anything like back in reasonable shape.

Someone has been having a poke about with that CL600 - look at the wood trim near the centre armrest, doesn't fit properly.

It wouldn't have left Stuttgart like that.

Looks rough to me. Would have come with a red steering wheel from the factory too.

I'd be very keen on Drax any time! Bring it on.

Drax want two weeks advance notice, so i’d respectfully submit we go for the 17th or 24th March.

Tours start at 10am on a Saturday, so it might have to be an early start for some.

Once I’m finished working today, I’ll do the honours & setup a Doodle poll.

Those are the ADS (hydraulic suspension), ASR, ABS and the SRS warning lights, pretty much the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

I'll give a few quid for the Exquisit radio when it comes to be broken.

That'd be great, 24th fits the best for me but I can make either!

17th is a big day for Rugby fans, so worth avoiding.

Selby - even by the geographic vagaries of the thread, that's not exactly central is it?
