Don't be too hasty. That gas tank will be automotive cat-nip for some of our crowd.

More seriously, nice to see a tired old barge having been put to a good use*.

* For the avoidance of any doubt, I'm referring to fund-raising, not madame deG's domestic or bedroom duties.

That's absolutely lovely.

The annoying thing about Rover at the end was that the 75 was 100% the type of car they should have been building - comfortable, a great daily, non-sporting, but with ample leather and wood that more than made up for the lack of 'M SPORT'ness.

Over budget but a rare thing indeed. The V6 petrol Citroen C6. Not keen on the colour or cloth

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173171800983

Great find, that must be incredibly rare! Imagine the surprise of the dealer when someone walked in and ordered that. For some reason I see these C6s as being one of the few cars that is acceptable with a (v6) diesel engine. Like you I don't like the colour (a dark hue would be far better) and the cloth is a shame.
It is a nice spot. The disfiguring scuff on the rear wheel arch is a pity.

I suspect that 7 grand is a bit salty for an 11-year old petrol French car for most tastes, despite its appeal here.
Especially a bent one. I presume it's only done 19k miles because it's been typically French and refused to come out of the garage?

I ponied up for this fantastic product sales manual on eBay. The seller turned out to be Mark Taylor of MTSV. Who here was bidding against me?

I love Mercedes’ 1980s approach: the customer is an idiot who doesn’t know what he wants and the competition is st:

The last point is fascinating though, given they now produce exactly that.

Like that a lot, is it the Avantime or this which has the unobtainium windscreen?

The Avantime and Vel Satis both have a lot of unobtanium bits. Including things you're much more likely to need than a windscreen.

Nothing to be ashamed of there - the Avantime was a wonderful thing. Flawed, obviously, but wonderful nonetheless.

When I first moved to France I stayed with a family for a month to do language training. They had an Avantime so I spent the weekends being ferried around in it to their smart friends and the local sights. It was a fun thing, and quirky even then, even in France. As a sign of the post-Sarkozy era, they replaced it with a Cayenne!

Would anyone be interested in my P1 V70 TDi, had it for a year now and contemplating something else. I reckon less than 1500 price wise?

I have a service kit for a Vel Satis in my kitchen. Next to the oven. For the 3.0 V6 diesel version though.

Much to my wife's consternation... given we sold the Renault in 2011 hehe
