This has got to be the funniest/most cringe-worthy advert I have ever read! laugh

Literally every sentence had my toes curling and my buttocks clenching ever tighter!

THEN....I read the seller's EBay name! phonelaugh

Read it and then choose your favourite sentence!

Then have a look at the pics of this near 200K mile shed. I'm sure you will be unable to resist. So, for a small fee of course, I'll relinquish my place at the head of the queue of potential like-minded savvy investors for you!

I just clicked on "Seller's Other Items" and started looking at the ad for the Merc S55....." Nurse! Nurse!....I can't breathe!"

I did appreciate the education about BMWs though. From now on, I will never, ever confuse the 540i M sport with the 540i, or with any 540i. The differences are profound. It is a great feeling to learn.

I'm sure that will elicit exactly the same response from Lowtimer!
Blimey!

I don't know why we keep posting this wazzock's adverts. Amusement perhaps, but seriously, he's a throbber of the highest order and should be ignored.

He's the antithesis of Maison du Palmier.

I was with you until the Palm reference. He seems to be a decent photographer but his stock gets shill-bid and he isn't immune to hyperbole either. Allegedly.

I think it was quite clear that he was cruising at 90mph, any wonder it was thirsty.

Quick pic of my 190E from Goodwood at the weekend, it was a RetroRides Gathering which was a bit more of a 'scene' show than I thought but still a number of impressive cars there. Good excuse to get the 190 out too as the weather was good.

As usual, even poor photography flatters it!

Never mind that in the UK market there was/is no such thing as an E39 "M-Sport"

I'm afraid I must call attention to a troubling inconsistency in his other listings.

"This is the 350 BHP monster. In the only colour a monster should be....glistening metallic blue black with matching black leather."

"This is the 354 BHP monster. In the only colour a monster should be....glistening metallic silver with contrasting black AMG leather."

Only one thing missing, an M119 or M113 engine under the bonnet. Lovely colour.

I may end up with a complete 2.8 litre M112 V6 (204 bhp) drivetrain going spare. Might make quite a good fit for a w201... or I could just burn ten thousand pounds for 5hits and giggles.

The 300-24 I6 engine would give you 218 bhp and bolt pretty-much straight in, I thought?

As eny fule no, proper engines are only supplied in rows of 6-cylinders. Anything else is for yobs or Americans.

Let alone 6 cylinders in a 90 degree V. Yeuch.
