Denbies Sunday Service 19/11

A new location for the Sunday Service bandwagon as PH packs up and heads to a Dorking wine estate...

We're back for another installation of our Sunday Service calendar, where we'll be heading over to Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking on Sunday November 19. But bear with us here, we're not promoting a PistonHeads drink drive event; on the contrary, the beautiful estate is the perfect setting for a car meet with lots of room for us and our noisy motor vehicles.

On the day there will be space for 150 cars in our designated parking area, but plenty of room for (human) plus ones. There will also be three prestige car dealers in attendance, with specialists covering TVR, Porsche and Ferrari all coming along with their wares and providing us a little extra to gawp at. We think that the day is going to produce some really fantastic pictures as the scenery really is lovely, so bring along your cameras and we hope to see your images in the forum afterwards!

Of course if there are any wine aficionados amongst PH community, then this is probably one that is going to spark your interest. Not only will there be many lovely cars, Denbies has wine tours running throughout the day if you want to find out more - or your other half wants to try some wine as you're driving... The building itself has an art gallery and farm shop, as well as a restaurant where we have been very kindly offered a 20 per cent discount.

If you wish to book a wine tour, Denbies are offering us a special two-for-one ticket offer if you book in advance. The tours will run at 11am, midday, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm; please email Kelly Walsh to book your space. Standard prices are available here.

So, don't miss out on this brand new Sunday Service and get yourself signed up here!

See you there.

Date: 19th November, 2017
Cost: None, but we like biscuits with our tea...
Time: 0900-1300h
Space: 150 cars

Address: Denbies Wine Estate, London Rd, Dorking RH5 6AA

Love Denbies. Great place to take the family for a walk around, too.

If you're feeling brave, there's also a motorcycle gathering most weekends at Rykkas Cafe. Different crowd.

Excellent, looking forward to doubling my SS's with this one!

Silly question I know, but assume there is no limit on passengers?

There is no passenger limit but bringing a bus load is frowned upon I believe.

They make some great wine, good choice.
I believe it’s the biggest vineyard in the UK, but I am often wrong!

Local to me. Great wine and nice walks.

Shame I'm trying to stay on the wagon.

Surprised Bell and Colvil haven’t been roped in too as they are local.

I was thinking that when they said about dealers being there...

Was suggested this as a good first meet by a friend, bringing my R33 skyline, I hope its welcome, always heard good things about Sunday service meets.

I wouldn't mind going to have a look around, as its pretty near to me (about 15 miles I would guess). But I only have a little Renault Twingo, I'd feel a bit silly bringing it to a show / meet.

Everyone is welcome at a Sunday Service, doesn't matter what you drive. So come along! If you don't want to park in the Sunday Service area there's other parking available at the venue, but you are more than welcome to.

The reason I attend Sunday service’s is for the variety of cars.

Agreed; please bring it along! PH has always been about variety. Very often the oddballs are more interesting than the exotica at these events.

Bring it! The Twingo GT is a very PH car.

Over 600 miles to Dorking for me, the joys of being a Northerner.

Serious question: I am just off the bottom of the list but have booked a tour.

I'm assuming the normal attrition will occur with list but if it doesn't am I precluded from said tour?

Really wish that people wouldn't sign up if they don't know they can attend. Makes planning for anyone that is a definite very difficult frown
