Ah yeah! It was not a relaxing motorway cruiser at all, I don't think I've ever owned a car that's needed so many revs at 70.

Weird, ugly little thing. I'd take the FTO which, while looking dated, isn't as awkward as this heap.

Had a girlfriend really keen on these back in the day - but I wasnt so convinced.

Was it these or the Mitsi FTO that was a bit of a bugger to change the plugs on the far side of the engine?
The FTO requires the inlet manifold removed to do the rears. That's why they have different plugs front and back.

I loved mine, but it rusted around the windscreen. It was a tight fit, but very comfy once in, despite my 6"8' 24St bulk. It made a lovely noise with the intake resonator removed, a K+n cone, decat, and stainless exhaust. Changed it for an FTO GPX, another great car with an amazing V6.

The VTEC Honda CRX was a much better car, despite not having a V6.

I had one of these back in the day. Cracking little car and more practical than you would think with the rear hatch able to take a couple of mountain bikes once you'd folded the seats down.

Sadly, an electrical gremlin did for it; not in the normal sense, but in the sense that it was parked outside the premises of the sparky while waiting for parts and some toe rag decided to put the rear hatch through just to nick the stereo. On a rainy day in leith.
