People who drive along and can't make decisions for themselves.

Especially those who seem to be waiting for a gilt-edged written invitation to join a roundabout, even though the bulk of traffic coming toward them appears to want an earlier exit, and even if they were going beyond the road they're waiting to join from, it's a big roundabout, with about a decade between exits. Fcensoredk me, Brian Potter could have crossed the roundabout in his wheelchair in the gaps this Suzuki Splash driving Doris was turning down...

I think these things could become the new Honda Jazz...

M3 tonight, southbound on that lovely retro section from Sunbury to the M25 Junction where the madness reappears

On CC at about 65 sitting in L1 slowly gaining on a BMW 3 series, in the Middle lane

so i just bimble past, and notice i am not bimbling past as he is keeping station, Quick spurt up to 70 to give me some space, when he launches past me at warp speed weaving in and out of what traffic there was.
Then he settles back down to 60 in L1

I've never driven a car with a radar controlled distance/cruise control thing - I wonder if these systems will bug the car being 'tracked' by the cruise controlled car behind?

they are a pain in the arse to be honest, because chances are the car in front is not travelling the speed you want to travel. So either the car in front is faster and drives off, and then the radar is pointless, or they are slower and the car slows to follow them when in fact you want to carry on going the speed you wanted to go at e.g. indicated 78mph. I just want to approach the car in front and then pull out to overtake, not slow down and bimble along behind them and have to deal with manual intervention to overtake.

The emergency auto brake thing is another ball game entirely...

I did a couple of thousand miles in France last year - I think it would have been useful there as around 80% of drivers are exactly on the speed limit of 130kph.

Maybe on our congested motorways it's less useful?

The 10-20mph less than the speed limit brigade on bang straight roads with their super safe mentality then flash you if you've safely over taken.

Guy driving a black A4 Tdi pulls out from side road directly into my pathe then bimbles along 30ish in a 40 limit.

I overtake him and get caught behind some other slow moving plodders only for A4 to come racing up behind me flashing his lights and making usual hand signals.

Now you pulled into my path and didnt drive at a reasonable speed so I overtook you and you get offended!

Should have kept quiet and keyed all his panels and cracked all his windows and punctured all his tyres while he was in the shop. That would have learned him.

Get this a lot from the dawdlers, they get all offended, flashing lights etc when I have the cheek to carry out a perfectly safe overtake.

More & more common. tts.

I often pull the trigger on stuff, but then it goes bang. I haven't ever pulled the pin, but if I did it would go bang as well.

There's a 5 second delay before the bang though.

I disagree. I find it very useful indeed.

The car that is going faster is of no concern - it would leave you behind anyway.
The car that is slower - you tuck in behind until it is safe to pass or they wake up and get out of your way.

Particularly useful in average speed camera zones. Set it at you desired speed and you can be confident that you won't get caught but equally you don't have to keep adjusting your speed for the drivers who can't work out the concept of steady speed.

A couple on the way home tonight.

Couple of runners on a country lane, no footpaths. Dark clothing, running with the flow of traffic. Get past and can see one of them has a head torch... might have been more beneficial to run against the flow of traffic and at least cars would see you coming.

Other knob was the guy in front who started to brake when they saw a deer run out from the side of the road, then stop braking when they saw the deer pause and sailed on past. Seconds later another 3 emerged, not sure how they avoided collecting at least one of them.

This latest eBay knob.

1 new message.

Hi Rob
Thanks for providing measures.
I like the jacket a lot but is is very likely to be small for me and probably will end up in a box in my wardrobe.
Therefore I will not offer more than £120.
Let me know if you are interested

For a Vivienne Westwood coat, BNWT, £440 on the the tags.

No. You can borrow our Doberman if you want a coat too small for you. If you stick a sausage to your bum he'll chase you around the town until you're trim enough to get in to it. That will save you having to try and bid 75% off on designer gear. Yours truly.
