Yes many cars run big power (450+) on stock engines

Although in my opinion for reliability you should forge the engine if you want to build towards big power I know of cars at 500hp + that had stock engines and were perfectly reliable (John Hurditch's Golf R for one!)

Has anyone had a delivery date for their Golf R with the Performance Pack yet ? Mine was due at the beginning of March, but just been told delayed with no date yet. Dealer is chasing VW now. As the Pack was more than six months late from announcement until being able to be ordered, I wonder of they simply have more delays on the production line....

Sat looking at the snow.... Been told my car is being built in week 15. No discussion on any forum that I can find that anyone has their Golf R with Performance pack yet....
