Looks like a MX-5 from the front, the back is fantastic and looks like an evolution of the previous model.

I wouldn't, currently, upgrade to one, a manual V12S is still the one to go for, the old design looks sleek / unfussy, this looks too ... "modern"?

Beautiful, the front slightly resembles the new MX-5....maybe it’s me but doesn’t matter, I think is officially my dream car! Can’t wait to hear how it sounds.

Wow....just wow

Has the design team taken a "temporary leave" or why is the front grille clearly a stopgap?

Butt-ugly styling, particularly the nose. Ridiculous blingtastic interior.

It seems that Aston have stopped making cars with discrete elegance and style.

What a great pity.
You sum up my view entirely.

Well that should solidify or raise the value of the model it replaces, I can’t see a single thing about it that is better looking than the original.

This is not so much a criticism, more an observation.....

I find it very hard to put any generation of Astons into a hierarchical line up.

As it stands, it looks quite clear that this will sit below the DB11 even though they have the same engine.

But what happens when Aston get itchy and stick a V12 in this and it goes faster and costs more than a base level DB11? (IE v12 Vantage and DB9)

I couldn't imagine BMW putting a V12 into an M4 to make it more epic than a V8 M6 for example

The rear is pant wettingly good.

I reckon a number plate to cover some of that gaping grill will improve things too

I think if I ever were lucky enough to own one, I'd have to reverse it to the front door, so that I'd only ever approach it from the rear.

That rear end is simply sublime.

The front end - I like the grille, very bold. But then the lights and bonnet line look very understated, like two different people designed the two elements in separate rooms.

Not keen on that front end at all. Overall shape is very nice.

But it's a "nope" on balance.

The rear and profile are nice, but that front end is just goppingly awful. From a looks point of view, the previous V8 Vantage and DB9 are so much better than this and the DB11.

Side profile is quite nice - but i'm not sold on the front or the rear (especially straight on). The headlights look far too small and out of proportion with the grille.

I suspect this may look better as a roadster.

There is something very Japanese about the front end styling. And quite "un-Aston". Not convinced yet.

Now that really is something.
As someone who really doesn't like the DB11 I love that.
The only issue I have is what Aston keep doing to the sills of their cars, it makes the cars look like they've had a suspension lift.

Hadn't thought about the plate until someone mentioned it further up, looks so much better with it!

Oh, thank heavens for that. A good looking petrol engined car.

I've spent the last couple of days on here looking at all the crap people are predicting about how Tesla and automated driverless pods will take over the world by the end of next month.

I'm just delighted that new cars, that look this good, are still being made.

Funny how the old V8s looked elegant, whereas these look a bit more brutish.

I'm starting to wonder if Aston Martin have peaked. The DB11 isn't exactly pretty on the outside and the interior is quite frankly hideous. I do not like the front of the new Vantage at all and the interior is too gawdy. I've never seen a sporty car that looks better with a front number plate until now.
