The growth will happen when prices drop because it's quieter more efficient motoring and will be cheaper to run. Most people don't give a stuff on driver involvement and what is powering their cars.

I'm very unconvinced on ev racing though m

Completely agree. When the road cars are genuinely cheaper then the change over will be en mass and rapid.

Travelling to view the spectacle of EVs racing is ste for mentalists.

But once EVs are ubiquitous and there are enough old ones then banger racing will be just as good as it always has been. If not better as I never enjoyed watching the obligatory XJ6 getting mullered.

Luddites. Dinosaurs. Yeah, you lot, you fkers.

People bhed and moaned, and yet diesels which sound comparatively like crap, have smashed it at endurance racing. And guess what, you tight arses couldn't get enough of them to drive as road cars either, up until diesel-gate.

Well guess what. EVs are the same. They sound like st as race cars, but translate well to the road. And they're still relatively immature as compared to the ICE which has had the lions share of development funding during the last 100 years or so.

Spare me your outrage. You lot represent about 0.0000001% of the planet, and no one gives a fk what you think.

+1

There is financial land grab at work. That is the primary motivation for all attempted new movements.

3DTV was the last one. Bombed spectacularly. Sky shot it through the head and stuck it into a diesel Taxi.

Really? You're not very imaginative then. Or perhaps not very bright.

Okay, how about we help you along, then.

1. Whats the cost to the consumer of a full "tank"
2. What kind of range will that offer (choose the most common EV)

If you can even get past the first point, then perhaps you'll understand that not everyone on the planet is a driving god, as so many here seem to think they are.

Most people only want to get from A to B on increasingly congested roads, and derive precisely zero pleasure from their trip.

Are they different from you? More than likely.

Does your "entitlement" to enjoyment trump their access to transport? No, so fk off.

You must have accidently forgotten to explain why subsidies for electric vehicles are in place, and why sales plummeted in the coutry where they were removed (Denmark I think? ). If you can explain that then you might have a go at a rational response that actually addresses the points raised rather than an irrelevant rant.

Calls people not bright, then proceeds to , yet again insult others with ad hominens. Classic case of not being able to debate properly, something that around 80% suffer from.

Subsidies for PHEV and EVs have been reduced in the UK but sales are on the up. Is that relevant?

Ad hominems, oh, did we find a dictionary?

In case it passed your learned sight, there were two points in there which you comprehensively failed to address, before moaning about a lack of argument.

Perhaps you might find irony in said dictionary before astounding us with your obvious intellect?

I was in Las Vegas earlier this month, and caught the Ultimate Street Car Finals at the Motor Speedway, which was full of V8 muscle cars, a smattering of MX5s and a couple of RX-7, all competing in time trials around the autocourse.

Oh, and a Hyundai Ioniq, which to be fair was posting similar times to the mid-runners, buts was completely un-engaging to watch.

Why does this thread keep getting redacted?

If the mods are going to delete everything why not just close it.?
