Vauxhall / Opel Omega.
The burned out car definitely isn’t an Omega. They have round filler flaps
I stand corrected.

TBH, I should have known as seen as I used to have a F/L Omega. It was the longitudinal engine and the shape of the 'C' pillar that made me think Omega.

What would be your guess?
91-96 Audi C4 100/A6.

The Rettendon Range Rover was rumoured to have been completely stripped of all of its interior. Somebody piped up and claimed to have owned it, however I understand the door hinges were different which discredited that it was the original car.

I'd like to think it got scrapped - however would be a nasty shock for anyone owning a 87-88 Range Rover to find out it was theres...
Apparently it is now in storage in Northampton. The owner (Paul something or other) is banged up himself for quite a long stretch on drug charges.

Rettendon Range Rover, F424NPE

The vehicle was owned by a finance company, it was “purchased” by Pat Tate a short time before the murders as he had binned Tony Tuckers Porsche, the Range Rover was being used as a stop gap for Tony’s Porsche

As the vehicle was on finance, the debtor dead, the finance had the vehicle back, and sold on to recoup some of the outstanding debt. It was repaired and returned to the road. Whether the finance company sold it as it was at auction or repaired it prior I don’t know.

F424NPE most definitely wasn’t crushed after the murders

that rangey must be one of the UKs most infamous vehicles. ive googled the images - yeah hard to comprehend that a human could just do that to another human no matter what youve done.

either the drive got it twice or the shot went through the side of his skull straight out his left eye socket........

Is parading up the high street in an off roader a serious enough crime?

I believe the savile Range Rover has had all of its identifying features removed and is or has been sold as just another 2 door Range Rover

I think Jacques Mesrine's car was crushed in 2007 after he was gunned down in 1979!. The car apparently was in good nick according to Le Parisien.

Yes, the perceived wisdom is that a number of his offences were committed in it. It was a Carawagon or Dormobile conversion so it had a double bed in the back.....
After he died but before the scandal came out, it sold at auction for a huge sum of money. As the headlines hit, the poor purchaser then had a basically worthless vehicle! It was secretly stripped down to the bodyshell and restored as a standard model in a different colour, and re registered in a new plate, before being sold on. No doubt someone lost a lot of money in that!!!

This one has always intrigued me. The Ferrari Testarossa Single Mirror that Valerio Viccei was arrested in after the Knightsbridge Safe Deposit raid.

He was going to export it to Colombia and if he hadn't been bothered with it would have got away. It suffered a smashed windscreen during the arrest but according to the DVLA the tax expired 1st Dec 1990. Never exported. Surely it can't have been scrapped.

I remember an ebay ad for it a long time ago, complete with a mattress in the back hurl

A colleague of mine bumped into the owner of his Rolls Royce a Brit who lived in Switzerland, he'd bought it at auction shortly before all was revealed. I doubt he still has it!

Salisbury poisonings - BMW 320d ES - HD09 WAO

These police cars were buried after being deemed a hazard. So was the BMW.

Fascinating thread, even not knowing what has happened to the cars.
