I guess having to use the Q7 platform severely constrained the designers. The best looking Car on that platform, and it will sell for sure. Sometimes badge Engineering is what works best from a money point of view and VW is the king here.

An Urus SV might be quite the thing for the Paris - Dakar. That rear door handle is an absolute shocker!!

I can't believe they let that get signed off, it is f'ing atrocious, another badge engineering exercise at vag.

Considering this was the concept, it seems to ended up going from something exciting to another SUV.

or this looks like it is going to kill you

This will be the tackiest looking thing on the road. Irrelevant to the extreme, and entirely unnecessary in the worst possible way. Fat and bloated, sold on a badge, and existing only to make money. Even us regular, average wage folk nod in agreement - "profit, of course they have to expand, they have to grow, they have to sell this in order to fund the fun stuff..."

It's like people can't see the obvious anymore. It's pathetic. Apologists for the worst parts of modern society.

That's a slightly misleading comment. Yes it's based on the same archetecture as the Q7 but then so is the Audi A4 which is hardly a similar looking car. As with MQB, MLB basically determines the position of the front wheels relative to the pedalbox and engine and that's about it.

Yes and the front grill, not nice.

I can't get past the name, every time I see it I can't seem to get connections to all things urology out of my head. I suppose Lambo are just seeing how far they can take the piss I suppose.

Without a V12 (or even a V10), not really a proper lambo, just a rebaged and facelifted Cayenne turbo.

With a V12 no one would buy it, and arguably still not a proper Lambo.

Tricky !!!
I could be wrong regarding my engines. But I read that this uses the engine from the RS6.

Is the engine in the new Cayenne turbo the same engine? I believed that the Cayenne Turbo V8 was a new engine that was eventually to go in the next gen RS6 and 7 and Audi S8.

If so then this is already outdated. Also the interior looks a generation behind the Pana, Cayenne and new Continental already.

I like the thought of jacking one up a few inches, putting on some General Grabbers, sticking some cheap covers on the seats and then using one for farm inspections. Probably wouldn't be great for the job even at a tenth of the price, but it'd be a right laugh all the same.

I quite like it. To complain that Lamborghini are making an SUV is like complaining that Starbucks make coffee. At least they have done it with the right attitude!

Really like that, would choose one over their supercar offerings. Being able to get 4 adults in and out easily and not being an inch off the floor makes it perfect. Much prettier than the Bentley equivalent.

Was thinking exactly the same.

Trying to find a reason to buy one. I can’t. But my god I want one.

I don't mind Lamborghini creating an SUV. It's a good way to make money at the moment.

I don't however understand the point of a fast SUV. Lavish, luxurious & tasteful like a Range Rover Holland & Holland, sure! Even luxurious and bling like a Bentayga I can understand. But as a driver's tool, they are flawed by their very definition. How often do you really need to accelerate quickly in a SUV unless you are part of Special Service?

I'd rather have a SDV6 FF Range Rover for family duties (or Discovery 4 as they don't make a proper 7-seat RR) and a Huracan/Aventador for having fun.
