A143- what a great road, particularly at night! Love driving this road at the end of a busy cross country commute back to see the olds. Best drive ever in my integra DC2 'chasing' a ferrari 360. Most recently in a cayman s but looking at getting an exige (hopefully a lot more feedback/drama) and this road will be the test of it! Good route suggestion!
I do the A143 most days as I am based at Bury St Eds fire station. Sunday mornings before a day shift and around 7pm after a day shift in the summer...............................

I can only assume that you only look at the pretty pictures in car reviews, and don't get as far as the complicated bit with words in.

Not quite the same but £40k gets you a very similar car . . . .

At this price point I see these as quite appealing

Took a trip to London a few years back. After a couple days there,
grabbed a rental and went out to find some B roads. Nothing
better than a drive in the countryside, doesn't matter what country
you are visiting. You meet the true heart of a country out there.
Beautiful country by the way, just wish the rental had been a Lotus.

My neck of the woods too (Framlingham)! Can certainly vouch for the route to Harleston as my parents live there. Great roads in any car. Strange no mention of the A1120 though, that’s a lovely road that runs all the way from A14 near Stowmarket to the A12 at Yoxford. Busier than the B roads but not bad at all. A few good pub gardens to watch the passing traffic from too, great in the summer as there’s usually some sort of car event on near the coast and people tend to choose this route.
Not surprised by the impressive garage mentioned earlier, there are a LOT of interesting cars tucked away in Suffolk garages/barns it seems... (no not mine sadly)

You would have gone pretty close the Snetterton (or right past it?)....Surely a few laps would have been too much of a detour
Unfortunately, neither the Lotus Exige Sport 350, Sport 380, Cup 380, Cup 430 or the Evora 400, Sport 410, GT430 and GT430 Sport can go onto any track in the UK because they are all too loud with the factory exhaust setup. The last ones that could be taken on track days were 2015 model cars and earlier before they changed the exhaust system.

It's 110-112 dB static so this owner won't be seeing any track time until he replaces his exhaust or crosses the channel and does a track day in continental Europe where they are not strict about noisy cars.

Porsche owners are having the same issue with the N/A GT3s and Cayman GT4s. So are Jaguar owners, Alfa owners, Mercedes owners, etc. It's a real problem with the UK tracks.

At least the Lotus Elise in all trim levels can still go on the track.

Sport 350 is fine, as same exhaust as the V6S. But yep the rest are too noisy for most track days. Bell and Colvill were look8ng to sell a track friendly exchausy for around £1500 from memory.

On my 3rd S3 Exige . Great cars.

I live on (just off) the 1077 between Attleborough and Old Buckenham, and do PH and club runs to the coast (North and East coast) during the year, one of the favourite's being the fish and chip runs to Aldeburgh biggrin Always plenty of Loti round here, (I'm only a few mins from the factory), but they can be a pain when pressing on down the B roads and one is in a hurry wink
