Not surprised the C2 has taken a bashing here. After all, it's French and cheap.
Oh contraire, French and cheap is a great combo. The issue with this one is, for the same money, you could get yourself a proper hot-hatch, in the form of a Renaultsport Clio 172.

I had one for a while. I bought a 2 year old car on a whim. I quite fancied a flimsy French lightweight at the time. I liked the looks, and it felt like the left-field choice. It was OK on the test drive, so I figured it’d do the job.
I was quite fond of it.
However, the biggest drawback for me was the electronic driver aids that could not be switched off. Maybe it’s because I remember hatchbacks from an earlier era, but the fun of these cars is throwing them around just beyond the limit of their grip. The electronic nanny didn’t want to let me to play.

These were not reviled in their time; on the contrary they were quite trendy. However, as many were sold to youngsters with little cash to spare, thus buying on the equivalent of PCPs (yeuch!) Citroen shot themselves in the foot when the C1 became available for 1k less.

Did Shed forget the new budget?! Or has the vendor now reduced it to £1k? Seen the odd one of these that looked quite good, in black with tan leather (bizarrely), but not in this colour and spec, not for me, not even for a bag o' sand!
