My 2004 9-5 aero estate is starting to get tired and feels like it needs a decent amount of money spending to refresh it. Rust is starting to show at the bottom of the rear arches and the suspension is well past it's best but I've got no idea of what I can buy that's objectively better and won't need similar amounts spent on it's that this side of £10k. Even in it's currently sheddy state it's still massively comfortable and by far the fastest A to B car I've owned taking into account the fact it's so easy to drive and overtake slower traffic.

I bought my 9-5 Aero Auto Wagon two years ago for almost Shed money and sold it a year later for the same amount.

It was 1 owner with full history and only 72k and had 84k when I sold it. Only because we needed a 7 seater.

I've had 10 Saabs and it was definitely up there with my other favourites (Original 900 T16S and Abbott tuned 9000 CS Aero)

I wish I still had it - more than any other car I've owned. There are few 15 yr old cars you'd happily do 150mph in without a care. The sludge problem is no biggy if you get a 2004-2006 car. Also avoiding the £500 VED on the autos and the horrible Dame Edna looks.

Recently saw a one owner 9-5 Aero Saloon with 52k and full history for £1100 on Gumtree. I was sorely tempted but it sold immediately.

Oh god, the thought of how to replace my 54 manual Aero estate often creeps into my mind... what have people bought, and have you been as happy?
