I happen to like Kitts engine noise and airwolfs scream (although they got rid of that for the last series???)

A memorable one for me would be the noise Robocop makes when he walks.

Millenium Falcon is the first thing that springs to mind - sounds like the spaceship equivalent of a big V8

Loads
In no particular order:

The "whoosh" noise in NCIS
The double knock in Law and Order
The sound of the UFO's in err UFO (Gerry Anderson)
The 7 note tone in the Original Captain Scarlett TV series (I think used when the action switches to cloudbase)
The Tardis dematerialisation noise
The different versions of the Good, The Bad and The Ugly excerpt used when one of the 3 characters does something significant
The odd shrill noise that occurs when Dracula dispatches and counts the first the second etc as the fathers are killed off in Taste The Blood Of Dracula
The striking organ sound when the LIberator is shown in Blakes 7

Strangely enough I was going to nominate KITT's engine noises, possibly when in Pursuit Mode in particular? Airwolf a natural next step too.

Star Wars has many too, but can't pick a particular one.

Why they got rid of airwolfs growl in the last series (with stringfellows bro) is beyond me !

I love the seismic charges in Star Wars Episode II - one of the very few things the prequels are worth watching for.

The star wars blasters are pretty cool to, didn't they just tap telegraph pole stay cables with a spanner and record the noise?

Lightsabre sound.

TIE fighter sound, also liked the scream of Shadow vessels in Babylon 5.

And the blare of the drones in Oblivion.

The ever present explosions in Downfall.

A lot of my favourites have been mentioned but I really like the sounds in the modern Star Trek films, they are one of my favourite bits of the entire film.

Handily someone has done a compilation video, I'd say there are some that I don't care for in this clip but plenty that make the film and I'd love to know how they make them.
