Hi all,
I didn't know Fords have a problem with the engines until now where I see videos on youtube where they show that EVERY RS is going to blow up sooner or later and feel like I've been conned. Can't find anything online.
Thanks.
You've contradicted yourself there, saying the problem is all over youtube but you can't find anything online about it???????I didn't know Fords have a problem with the engines until now where I see videos on youtube where they show that EVERY RS is going to blow up sooner or later and feel like I've been conned. Thanks.
A very quick google of "2016 Focus RS problems" brings up lots of info so I'm not sure how hard you looked when researching them prior to buying.
Have you been in contact with Ford? The Focus comes with a 3 year/60,000 mile warranty.
Ford's own website says this is transferable.

This warranty covers any part of the vehicle that requires repair or replacement as a result of a manufacturing defect. The part will be repaired or replaced completely free of charge by any Ford Authorised Dealer, regardless of any change of vehicle ownership during the warranty period
The warranty starts on the date of registration of the vehicle."

I suspect it already has...Jeff_Enthused said:
Thanks for the quick responses, it's under warranty as it's a 2016 plate but I don't have the warranty documentation.
There is no warranty documentation. You just need the reg number, and the dealer's computer will tell them the rest. As long as it hasn't been modified, and the required services have been done on time with genuine parts by a suitably qualified person, there's no reason Ford shouldn't at least look at it under warranty.
