RE: Lexus LC500 by Liberty Walk
Discussion
I think you're all being unfair and completely missing the point, obviously with that ride height, those ground-hugging splitters and the extreme suspension setup it's a honed track monster, all unnecessary weight stripped out, high end fully-adjustable suspension system, more power, I mean what's not to like?
It's just a body kit?
It's just a body kit?

Tongue firmly in cheek here, but the amount of dislike these creations get is funny....
So low you can't drive it on the road you say? Splitters going to bite the dust per chance?
Body work added seemingly haphazardly? Smashed its way through Halfords?
So we talking about the Senna again?
This 'creation' is about as usable and likeable as the Macca, just different sides of the street that's all. One is a manga based styling wk fest, the other is an aerdynamists' wk festy effort at race car.... Compromised for road annnnd compromised for track.
Both legitimately admired and legitimately laughed at.

Variety is the spice of life etc.
Oh, and comparing this to the McLaren Senna is nonsense. Surely it’s time you got off that hobby horse?

Oh, I dunno. They seem eminently comparable to me.They're both tasteless, over-blown, ridiculously impractical bedroom-wall-fodder for teenagers to wk over and junior Emirati princes to tool around Kensington in.

I'm not a hobby horse.... and as has been noted the comparison stands quite firm. not in stats, cost or even brand status... but on something that has fans from quite extreme opposites weirdly come together over an end product that is hugely compromised.
I hope you're light enough

Blimey! They're both tasteless, over-blown, ridiculously impractical bedroom-wall-fodder for teenagers to wk over and junior Emirati princes to tool around Kensington in.
I guess both cars are extreme but at different ends of the spectrum - one designed for aesthetics, one designed for performance.
You can of course compare anything, Mother Teresa and Donald Trump etc. but it doesn’t mean the two are in any way similar.
As for you last point - I’m afraid supercars have always been expensive and bought by very rich people.
Rewind 20 years and people were saying the same about the F40.
With the passing of time it’s now seen as a classic and aspired by the ‘old money’ (relatively speaking) - so it’s ok to admit liking it...
Nothing new really and not worth getting upset about.
