I've always had a soft spot for the R32. I think it penned the way for the modern Uber-hatch formula and it's still one of the best sounding engines this side of £50k

I've owned both the Yaris T sport and Corolla T Sport. Both brilliant cars. Yaris were a little pocket rocket. Could be chucked around like a go kart and there's plenty of upgraded parts. Corolla again such a good car. No one knows what they are. Had a few good drives against so called more powerful cars and performed better.

Overall they are the best cars I've owned and caused little to no problems. I'd advise getting a facelift Corolla as they have a few better parts over the early models and look better IMO.

Everybody always forgets about the hatch that was the quickest of them all for many years - it's power to weight ratio wasn't exceeded by a proper hatchback for many years after in went out of production - The Sunbeam Lotus - 1980 - 150 BHP 960 kilos.
Still feels quick today even with standard engine....
