I searched for this as a topic and didn’t find anything so I thought I’d start a thread asking for everybody’s opinion.

I spotted this video for the first time on YouTube earlier on and couldn’t help but wonder what the PH masses would do in that situation and how the law would work.

I see 2 hooded thugs attempting to smash the drivers side window of a Bentley with a woman inside using a hammer, a lethal weapon.

If the dashcam driver had run both men over, what would have happened to him. I can’t say what I’d do exactly in that position because it’s easier said than done however I am 85% sure I would have run both of them over. Rightfully so as well, imagine the trauma that poor woman had endured in that moment, why would I (theoretically) the driver let them get away with such a crime, because we all know they won’t get caught and will try it again! What if the window smashed and the hammer hit her in the head?! Motherless scum.

They must be bloody good windows on that ?!

It would be tempting to at least knock them over but i'm sure they would sue you for injury and you would get at least GBH or ABH, if not attempted murder charge against you.

I don't think that was a car jacking. My guess would be they knew the victim or they wanted something inside the car i.e jewellery etc.

The only way for the camera car to “run them over” would be to plough into the side of the car, knowing my luck probably disabling it and writing it off in the process, leaving me and her stuck with the axe wielding thugs next to us!

They didn’t know the driver. I know of it (friend of friend knows the family), the kids that were in the car have found it very traumatic.

Moped thugs, note the accomplice on the left of the screen ready for a quick getaway

I can imagine 'traumatic' being a likely understatement. They were not after the car though were they?

I would have steered hard right and gone as far forward as possible in to the next lane. If they chased me down then reverse as far as possible to get away, repeat until I could get away.

Running them over would have been a more then acceptable outcome, I doubt you would get charged if you were just trying to escape.

Why didnt the cars in front move out of the way so Bentley guy could just floor it? The BMW did but the lights go green and that little Peugeot CC thing is just say there. I wonder if you'd be justified at nudging traffic out of the way in a situation like that.

You're in a huge, powerful luxury 4x4. Just bloody floor it!

As for the camera car, I'd recommend making lots of noise and starting to drive towards the feral scum.

This! I was confused for a second as to where the 5 Series went, but then I got to the part where the Peugeot driver didn't move! Initially, I thought that they were an accomplice too, but I guess not?

Yeh I tried to see if it was the Peugeot they got out of but definitely not, looks like there were 2 mopeds with 2 people on each. You can see even the guy in the right hand lane moves forward as to make space for Bentley guy to escape, Peugeot just sits there though...

Those windows are freaking strong man! Bit of a shame since they would also stop a bullet meaning the driver couldn't defend themself. Unless they had an AK which seems to be the only way to deal with those thugs.

Think there was a thread on it a few weeks ago. It was in Manchester. She did well to stay calm and get away safely for her and other cars around.

That’s what I would have done but someone mentioned that there was kids in there, perhaps she was worried for them..the whole situation is fked really, there’s no way to assess what she could have done apart from the man parked there filming the whole ordeal. The cam Car should have rammed both of them, reversed and rammed them again, I don’t think he’d get in trouble, he could argue that he acted on impulse, thought it was an assassination, panicked and went flat out into them.

Perfectly justifiable!

Reverse, steering locked and flick of the accelerator, run the fkers down.

It’s all they deserve.
