Still prefer the 458 but 710 from that V8. Bonkers. Well done Ferrari.
guys am i missing something here?the 488 uses turbo charging...
710 from a 3.9L engine with turbo's is not impressive...
you can make more than that with a 1L engine if you wanted... how long you want it to last is the question when making power with forced induction... i.e 1500hp good for 4laps (1.5L turbos 80's f1)
what is impressive is making it lag free so that it drives like NA which they seem to have achieved now through use of parallel small twin-scroll chargers, and making this power reliable enough to be a road car, now that to me is impressive.

We don't actually know how much power it'll have yet, as that's not been announced, unless I've missed it.
We also don't know exactly how light it'll be (it will have to go on quite a diet to get down to 720S skeletal levels of weight loss).

The 488 GTO needs at least 710 to be on a par with a McLaren (the 720S) that is already available, and isn't a special edition.

more so as the 720 dyno's at 760-800 bhp depending on how much you allow for drive line lossWe don't actually know how much power it'll have yet, as that's not been announced, unless I've missed it.
