But - why ?
Why go to all the effort of taking a car which flopped commercially 20 years ago, and then take an update of it which also flopped 15 years ago, and then try to make it again, when the world has moved on significantly since.... What does this bring to the party ?
The very low deposit price they are looking to take suggests that they don't have much faith in the project either....
BTW My father actually owned an EB110 - he got the last one out of the factory, pretty much driving it out as the administrators were arriving. He never rated it that highly ( though it was a "standard", not an SS ). He said it lacked character....
Probably because the Edonis was (i believe?) the last project by Nicola Materazzi and most people cannot help but wet their pants over the F40. He viewed this car as superior to the F40. So the chance to buy a new example of what was the next evolution of what many people still regard as the greatest supercar ever? I reckon many people would be interested. Only thing is he is presumably not involved in this in any way which dents the appeal.
Besides I thought the Edonis flopped due to financial dealings rather than the car failing in the marketplace.
No worse looking than the current Lambo Veneno or whatever its called. Thinking about it probably was quite ahead of its time ??.
In fact if we consider the EB110 the first hypercar (bar the 959 of course) and one at that which was drivable and civilised, then the Edonis could be considered as the old guard's refusal to go down that route. Can't help but respect that.
It is meant to be awesome to drive though -just terrifying power. Some old fella told me at a classic car GP.
Got to love the old italian way of doing things in terms of marketing though: ??

And that sounds fairly scary (which IMO is how they should be before they became approachable to any muppet with a large bank account).

And that is for the naysayers about the EB110. Martin Brundle giving a good push. One of the greatest supercars ever and definitely the best looking IMO.

No, he's on the right website. 0-100 in 8 seconds is beyond the majority of anyone's reach on this website.
It's not all about speed sir.
Supercars are all about speed. It's a defining characteristic of the breed.

I've always liked the EB110 and the Edonis. The Edonis sounds amazing. But, looking at the pic from above, has there ever been a supercar where the driver is so far back from the front? That's a huge distance!
P.S, I would rate this 30 year old chassis as high as almost anything out there. Just because it's old doesn't mean it's no good. A properly set up car with no modes has to be better than the pointless things we get now.

0-100 in 8 seconds is still batst crazy fast. Supercars are about more than just savage acceleration. The McLaren F1 did 0-100 in 6.1s - are we really saying that F1-quick is the MINIMUM standard to be judged fast?!
I never liked the EB110. Four turbos too many and far too ugly. I do, though, have a fantasy about buying a wrecked one, stripping the turbos off it, whacking up the compression and putting the V12 in a 1920s Bugatti racer replica...

PH posters make me laugh sometimes.
Will it be any easier for ingress/egress than an EB110? I struggled to get into the driver's seat of Michael Schumacher's SS at Coys' Monaco auction in 2010 and had to exit in an undignified fashion on all fours. Admittedly, that car had been tailored for Michael and I am a bit taller than him - I met him at the Silverstone tyre testing day in 2001 when I had the good fortune to be a special guest of the rival McLaren team. The only car I've had more difficulty getting in and out of was also at a Coys sale and that was a Bizzarini GT at Autosport International in January of the following year.
