Given the issues I've got with my Saab at the minute I'm tempted just to find another MK3 Mondeo!

I did, went from a stg3 Aero to a 2L Lx.

Only cost me £600 and the only thing that doesn't work is the drivers side front demist as the screen is delaminating after 16 years.
It starts first time, keeps me dry and very warm which for an engine known to be 'cold blooded' it gets up to temp quicker than my SAAB did.
