RE: Ferrari California: Generation Game
Discussion
I had 2 x Cali’s an original and a 30, and enjoyed them both. I purchased both cars pre-owned with a couple of thousand miles on the clock. The first car was pretty basic, but the second had most options, including the carbon parts and even carbon race seats.
I took the original car on a track day and although there was quite a bit of body roll it was still good fun.
I chose a Cali as I like the Ferrari brand, they were reasonably practical and they were a hard-top convertible.
I could get 2 x sets of golf clubs in the car (albeit very small diameter bags) and luggage for a week to ten-day trip.
I took both cars on European tours of 14 – 16 days in length and there is nothing better than driving in the Alps with roof down and the amazing sound of the Ferrari V8.
I didn’t have a T as it just looked too much like a small evolution of the original cars. I have and AMG GTS at the moment and have put a deposit down for a Portofino.

But misses the point of the California?
Fair enough, some people want an open top:£65k - https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
The newer 430 Spider seems to be the same range as the Cali, £75k upwards.
Pistonheads never fails to deliver.
A handful of comments from people who have actually driven and owned (even multiple) California's drowned out by people who've done neither shouting about how it isn't a proper a ferrari and how people who want a 2+2 hard top should in fact buy a much older hardtop 2 seater GT or mid engined soft top.
