Now I am jealous. As per earlier in the thread I wish I'd never been in a position where I had to sell mine. Then I read things like this & can't bear to part with it! Will be 8yrs next month, bought to hillclimb but gave that up last year & still have the car...
Keep having similar thoughts about my 996 but again, can't bring myself to actually sell it, be 9yrs this summer, longest I've ever owned a car.
ALPINA B3.0
I’ve owned this car for 11 years now and love it to bits.
Always wanted a e36 from the moment I saw one in the early 90’s. I was about 12years old and remember the poster of a e36 m3 on my bedroom wall. Childhood dream!
I’ve restored her and love to drive her whenever the weather permits. The experience is always EPIC when out on the roads with her.

This used to be my daily a few years ago but now is a 2nd weekend car.
Again always wanted his car from the time it was released.
I was lucky enough to find this car. It’s fully loaded 2006 n54.
Mileage just touching 36k
She is almost in showroom condition apartment from the odd stone chips.

So much blood, sweat and tears have gone into this I just simply couldn't. I do about 7000km every year touring the Iberian peninsula in it. I tour, sleep, cook and fk in it. My Mother will be up on eBay before this. It's a lifestyle, not just a bus. I couldn't EVER. Sorry kids, it'll be my grave too
Probably my 993.
I went to have a look at a 964 Coupe at a small Porsche specialist but was disappointed in the condition.
The dealer had a 993 Coupe in the showroom and I wondered over, had a look round, took a test drive, did some negotiation and put down a deposit.
The car was intended as a stop gap to a GT3 but for some reason I just stuck with the 993.
Since then I added 35,000 miles, GT3 seats, stiffer suspension and spent £££££ on maintenance and servicing.
I still find it to be a rewarding drive because it's fast enough to be interesting, sounds great, is small enough to wind around country lines, has handling that requires thought and care, yet it is refined enough for long drives around Europe. It's a great spec with rear wheel drive, close ratio 6 speed, varioram engine and air con.
I've now owned it for 11 years and have no desire to part with it even though I could sell it and buy something very interesting. Doesn't stop me looking though.
I don't understand why some people buy a car and then declare 'It's a keeper'. You have to live with the thing through thick and thin to make that decision.

I have an unmolested 89 8 valve Lancia integrale with about 70k on it and no rust. It's worth about 3 to 4 times what I paid for it and was the first car I bought my self after graduating 6 years ago. It's never being sold. Maintenance costs are a bh, even though I don't pay labour as I have to import parts to New Zealand.
Also my mk2 Alfa 155 sportpack ain't going anywhere in a hurry.
