No.

If I had the space I’d keep hold of motorbikes but not cars.

I can understand the nostalgia but 80s fords weren’t all that even then. My dad had an escort RS turbo and I had a fiesta RS turbo. Don’t want to own either again.

I've got a car I've had from new and it's looking a little tatty now I can't find anything to get me excited enough to buy. I would love to restore it but its technically worthless.

I’ve had my ‘93 Impreza for 15 years now. Can’t see me selling unless prices go daft.... which they won’t for mine because it’s not remotely standard and has about 93k miles on it smile

No.

I think the problem is that my Mustang has retained a lot of its value so is a monetary asset. if it was worth a lot less, I would be inclined to keep it and write off the value more easily.

A friend of mine has a Lotus Eclat that he has owned since 1982-ish and those have a relatively low shelf value so he has no plans to ever sell it.

Yup, I don't plan on selling either of my cars.

I was with my Dad when he bought my Jeep Cherokee when I was 11 years old, then it became my first car at 18. Still my daily driver 6 years later and I couldn't ever part with it.
Our Jeep Grand Wagoneer was my dream car for many years, and the intention is to spend years doing it up whilst keeping it drivable. It's the most valuable age and colour of all Wagoneers, but I want it to become the family vehicle and (with some work) to last us forever.

I said I was never going to sell my Cosworth but that went in 2015.....frown

I'd like to say this about my FIAT as it has very little value to anyone else but me .....confused

As seen in Sweden and many other countries.

I did think I'd never part with my 172 Cup. It was low milage, mint condition, and I'd spent a fortune maintaining it. It's last MOT expired a month ago. I hope he/she has just forgotten about it. Unfortunately a period of financial instability meant there was no choice but for it to go. I was gutted, I loved that thing.

Obligatory pic.

Yes. Not sure anyone is going to be making manual V12s in the future.

My MGF. Objectively it's not a great car, it's the smaller 1.6 for a start. I didn't even pay that much for it. I also have a share in an Mx5. Which is dynamically much better for the track work I tend to end up using the MG for.

But 6 years on, 2 European trips, including the Nurburgring as well as being our wedding car I can't quite see us getting rid of it. To be fair it's not really worth anything to anyone else anyway!

It's currently sat awaiting some more money than its worth being spent on it. Totally worth it though.

I just need to get my money's worth that I've spent on them, so probably not.

I have owned my 1992 BMW E30 325i touring for over 14 years now. I just never found anything I wanted to replace it with. It won't set any land speed records but its still got some poke.
