To truly celebrate the 50th anniversary, what we really want is a modern XJ coupe. If Merc can do it with the S Class, why not?
The XJ sells in tiny numbers compared to the S class I guess the sums don’t make sense

Not sure if serious.

Exhibition halls are a st bag to try and photo in. Anyone whose been to Autosport show will testify! laugh
Ha, I am serious - the paint looks to have an incredible clarity and finish with razor-sharp and straight reflections. You can't tell without a moving camera, but I imagine there is little or no wave/shimmer to the paint either. It looks to be a very good job.

Hmm - 7/10 for me. I like the combination of S3 shape and S2 door handles. I like the paint. Not sure about the wires, and they're definitely too big. Drop 'em to 16 and it'd be an 8/10. 2 points off for that Rectal Prolapse Scarlet interior. Needs to be more a creamy light tan, with bog oak on the dash if you want something echoing a nice snare drum.

I love it!

That's the sort of shape an XJ should be - unlike the current minger!

I don't care for the wheels, but they are easily changed and I'd want RHD but in every other respect I think it is fantastic. cloud9
