I wasn't convinced until these pictures... There is familiarity between the two pictures. The window lines are similar, the wheel vents front and back similarly shaped, the sloping of the rear quarter panel (like an Audi A7), the ducktail to upturned boot in the middle for the Kia - there is a familiarity to my eyes. And yes the exhaust location and choice of door crease is similar too.

I understand they are different, and have more differences than similarities, but the similarities are distinct design features.

I prefer the Kia, but I like an Audi A6, so less design is better in my eyes. The BMW design language is too much for me.
Careful, you'll upset some on here.

roofline and side DLO, that's it.
A fairly light weight comparison imo.
The fact that Kia got the drop on such things is more interesting.... which isn't saying much.

It is another elegant BMW concept turned to fat over fussy reality....

hmm yeah, fair cop...

my point was more that this is the concept...the elegant one (abeit 2 door):

The green one is a fat production ready messed up 4/5 door version
which is 95% of probably what will be in show rooms...

From one concept to the next, style has been replaced by an over excited person with sculpting tools....

Hmmmm... can't say I'm a fan, it looks bloated (colour sensitive design perhaps?), far too fussy and almost idiotically aggressive, so damned near like every new car going to be honest, whatever happened to simplicity of line? What's the odds of an early 2000's garmin sat nav being plopped on to the dash a la Aston Martin? (or something one of the designers has nicked off his kids)

The green is no more production ready than the blue, I'd argue probably less so - typical styling exercise with design features exaggerated ('M' bumper treatment in this case).

The body colour and colour of lights doesn't help either.

I'll bet you a virtual KitKat that that the showroom sees cars more like the blue than the green wink

hehe ok yer on.

I'm not sure how a body and light colour makes a car go from svelte and stylish to fat and cluttered but hey ho...

I'm actually with you on this one. For something that is supposed to be an elegant GT car, I prefer the simplistic lines of the original. I just hope the final coupe version is closer to the concept

I wonder whether this one would've been better being called a 7 GC.

The 6 and the 8 should be low and wide (imo), this appears to be bigger in all directions...
