Poor journalism.

It's got nothing in common with a 964 or any other classic 911, especially size. PH even got the weight wrong according to RUF who are quoting under 1300kgs.

While it's still a handy size in this day and age, if you believe it's 964 sized and truly small and dainty, try fitting those 20" wheels on a 930 or 964 and see how you get on.

I'd want smaller diameter wheels but the rest looks fantastic and I do like the circular LEDs.

Just going off what ''MB'' reported, I've no idea. Pity if it's not 964 sized because the weight isn't really anything to shout about... Otherwise a lovely, lovely thing, certainly enough to cross a Singer off my Christmas list!

According to Ruf's German homepage https://ruf-automobile.de/modell/ruf-scr/ it's 1'250kg.

I don't know where the idea that it's 991-sized has come from, as this is completely wrong. It's the same overall size as a wide-body 964/993, give or take a millimetre here and there. What RUF have done is extended the wheelbase by 70mm by pushing the front axle 50mm further forwards in the bodyshell, and moving the rear backwards 20mm, but with shorter body overhangs to retain the same overall length. The doors are also 20mm longer than on a classic 911.

There's a better look at the chassis and the finished car in this video from Geneva: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJPz-KjTBKU

Then I love it even more. Why is it so 'heavy' then?
