Nice Mondeo! - not one MOT advisory, fail, anything.

Heated windscreen, everything, £895.

Found this Mondeo with a completely spotless (compared to the interior which needs a good day's clean) MOT history, may be of use to someone. Ghia model so most of the toys including cruise and Sony stereo. Saloon body and towbar might put some off however.

You'd think that paying 'strong' money for a 14 year old Mondeo Saloon, the least a trader could do is run his wetvac over the seats

Looks like he just shoved a dealer 'feet sheet' in the drivers footwell and taken the photos

Price has gone up to £995 - I guess the seller has seen this thread.

I just had to check that one out for curiosity:

Seems it never sold. The original ad was edited earlier today with the following warning:

On 17-Jan-19 at 11:05:05 GMT, seller added the following information:

*** Any offensive or inappropriate messages will be forwarded to Sussex Police under the the Malicious Communications Act 1988 ***

The mind boggles!

Interesting, I think he put up some bks possibly about it being ex-celeb (hence katie price) which ended up with fierce bidding to take the piss.... that or the bidders actually believed him hehe

In my experience that generation of ford cloth I'd incredibly easy to stain and impossible to get clean again.

Surely that S600 won't be in the thread budget by the end of the auction?

How much do you reckon it will go for?

A few quick questions for you regular bargain basements owners.

1) When it comes to MOT time do you stick it through and see if it passes or fails? Or try and fix things before?

2) Any cheap estates or hatchbacks that don’t have a DMF?

My S60 is up for its MOT at the start of March, but I know the suspension is knocking on the front and also on the rear. The clutch is dragging and don’t think I can be bothered to try and nurse it.

Rather get rid and get an estate for the new dog.

Pre 2010 Kia Ceed diesels don't have a DMF or a DPF. No timing belt either. Check for rust though if you're interested in one.

Then check for rust again.

Just see what happens. If the repair costs are under £500, it might be worthwhile getting it fixed rather than buy a new shed that has hidden issues.

Up until some time in 2010 the 1.6 didn't have a DPF. It's only the econetic and later 115ps models that had them.

I've no idea what kind of clutch mine has as its not broken yet.

I read up on this a while ago when I was last looking for a shed, and it seems the 1.6 diesel didn't have a DMF but the 2.0 diesel did have a DMF
