Can't work out what went wrong there - just seemed to go sideways.

Driver was remarkably quick to have the sense to let go of the wheel and get his feet off the pedals.
I couldn't work out what happened either, having replayed it a few times. It does look like the rear got a bit unsettled over the crest there (there's a little double bounce and you hear the revs change in time with it), but apart from oil on the track, or a mechanical fault, I can't see what would cause it to step out like that.

Very harsh outcome, I thought.

Schwedenkreuz is a corner that looks like nothing, but is part of one of the most difficult sections of the track in a fast car like a GT3.

His repairs scare me. Seen several which, whilst 'looking' ok, would completely lack the structural integrity of a properly factory specified repair. Avoid!

Are you going to report her?

She sounds like she needs a kick up the bum. Thankfully it was just the rear of your car this time (not that that is any consolation to you), not something softer.
No probably not. I'm a bit of a soft touch.... She had just passed her test !! I think she is terrified in case there is damage we cant see.... As long as its just cosmetic and she doesn't mess me about getting the bumper blown over i'll leave it.
All more reason to report her
She clearly hasn't understood what she learnt

I'd vote to report too. 6 points and disqualification, tough tits, should have thought about that instead of not being able to leave her phone be. It could be a child she doesn't see next time.

Yeah, f*ck her. If she's just passed her test, she should know full well not to do it.

1:33 - Plenty of time to see that and stop, but instead it's almost as if the DCW drove into the van to prove a point or get a video?!
The last clip....
While dashcams are wicked, I think too many of them have them as an excuse to drive like a dick. Like the clown in 1:33, he was going too fast around the corner and JUST because he has the camera he hits him. Bare in mind as well there was a kid walking on that roundabout, what if the van spun round and hit the lad?

Plus the last clip, emdemic of today really. Too many idiots wanting to look flash in their "high powered" cars, with tyres from China and parts from eBay, driving them like they think they're God's gift to driving - then they realise how expensive it is to run out of talent. Not that they had much to begin with.

What scares me most is how long a lot of DCW's take to react. When they finally do, they have to apply heavy braking force and you hear things rattling around in the vehicle.

So many people simply aren't paying attention to what they are doing.

08:23. The person posting that vid needs to take a step back and analyse their own driving. I'm sure he is the one who got into a road rage incident with an Audi and had his windscreen smashed.

This video appeared in my suggestions, he's been mentioned on this thread before. He starts changing lanes into another car, and blames the other guy.

Couldn't resist making a comment. Though I was quite polite TBH.
I posted a remark, commenting that thankfully he didn't hit the red Stelvio, which he (together with other comments) have deleted now.

You'd think that he's wearing blinkers while driving, eh?

Some of his videos have been put up on here before. There was one where he drove the wrong way around a mini-roundabout nearly crashing into an old lady, which was her fault of course...

I posted a comment asking why he went the wrong way round the mini-roundabout, to which he gave a lengthy reply about how he has learning difficulties. Unfortunately, this resulted in lots of nasty/offensive comments, so he deleted all the comments.

It's clear to me that - with no disrespect - he lacks the mental capacity required to drive a car. Not only does he have no awareness of what's going on around him, but he repeatedly demonstrates a total lack of understanding of the concept of things like lanes and roundabouts.

Completely agree. I dread to think how much chaos he's caused for other people that we don't see as he's completely oblivious to it.

I do find it sad, as I think people with learning disabilities should be allowed to drive and lead normal lives, however I do agree. Not only is his driving dangerous, his reactions to others, who are often not at fault at all, could lead to him being assaulted.

I suppose in many ways it's similar to an elderly driver who is becoming a bit doddery.

It must be difficult for them to accept that their driving is not up to standard, and it seems sad for them to lose their independence, but equally it's for their own good.

Personally, I would like for that driver to receive a free bus pass. That way he could keep his independence and lead a normal life without putting himself and others in danger.

I'd think this situation is exactly why using a phone has gone up to 6 points , because anyone under 30 has had a smart phone from a very young age and they're addicted to them

They won't get the message until a few make the headlines as their licences get ripped up

I think they are aware of the dangers, but even more aware of the fact that the chances of being caught are minuscule.
