From looking at how fast the scenery and street lights are going past you were doing a lot more than the 30mph limit as seen attached to the post at the start of the video. The other driver's road positioning was such that they'd already committed to passing the van yet you continued at the same speed seemingly oblivious to this rather than easing off a little yourself so they'd be clear by the time you got there and then continue on your way without needing any of the emergency stop drama. The way you drove straight at them seemed a bit deliberate to 'teach them a lesson' as we oft see on many of these DCW uploads.

Easily avoidable imo. smile

lampost distance is 29 meters, i covered it in 2 seconds so 33mph.

The road curves were he was coming from so it looked like he was positioned my side which is what caught me out. there was no lesson he tried to squeeze past but misjudged it i think, ive re watched it never moved over as the kerb line shows.

For fks sake guys. Every time I see this thread updated, instead of speeding interesting clips from dash cams it's you lot arguing the toss over some details. Please , for the love of God, find somewhere else to bucket and let this thread return to what it's supposed to be.
It's gone on for like 10 fking pages or something now rolleyes. They are just repeating the same boring arguments over and over with the words arranged in a slightly differently order in some futile attempt to get the other side to agree with them. Look: it doesn't matter how many fking times you keep repeating it, you are not going to get the other side to agree with you. They have a view point which is different to yours. Just accept it, grow the fk up instead of endlessly arguing like 5 year olds AND MOVE ON or take this tiresome C-Max argument to a separate thread. furious
Which damn clip is this C-Max on. It's all I've read about for weeks (it seems) on this thread.

I don't think I've seen it - link please?!?!

Are you blind? CMax is clearly an idiot, that is exactly the kind of hesitant lunacy that causes shunts, who pulls an emergency stop in a queue for no reason?

Anyway back to those crazy Russians...

It says the Fiesta "was pulling out to overtake another car when the vehicle suddenly appeared behind him".

That's one way of putting it. It looks like he chucked the Fiesta into lane 2 either without checking his mirrors or in an attempt to block the Celica.

I used to commute over that bridge - it's covered by average speed cameras and is angled so you can't see over the brow, with a nasty fog-based crash a few year ago. So it's especially stupid to speed there.
