As ridiculous as it sounds, more of these morons need to be crashed into. So many people on those clips driving in a bullying manor of ‘they won’t hit me so il do what I want’, every brake checker should be crashed into and have their license revoked for a year.

Anyone got any good driving caught on dashcam videos? These are all just depressing. Maybe we need another thread? Although I fear it will be mostly empty.

laugh

I meant more from good driving that people have seen from other people on the road. You know, to restore some faith in humanity. Not track driving just human kindness or good observation/ situation avoidance. Kinda the opposite of all these uk dash cam vids.

or that confronted with an oncoming misjudged overtake it is THEIR responsibility to act, not make matters worse by maintaining speed whilst flashing lights.
That just enables poor driving as it gives the overtaker a false sense of security knowing oncoming traffic will taking avoiding action.
Yes, much better to plough in to the oncoming car, that'll learn 'em. rolleyes
Yes, let's kill yourself, your passengers, theirs, and/or the people in the car being overtaken. That'll teach then to drive more carefully.

Whats the deal with all the 'contact *whoever* for licensing' comments on a lot of these videos? Is this a way of making the uploader a few quid or is it just a copywrite thing?

Think they yanked up the handbrake to initiate it as never took the yaris to have enough power to get the backend out on liftoff oversteer

Since when has power got anything to do with lift off oversteer.

The question is did they catch it or did the esp do its job

More likely to be crappy ditchfinder tyres and/or tyres without any tread left on them. Our run-about C1 with the same engine as that will step out on wet rbts like that without much persuasion, but it does still have ditchfinders on the back from when we bought it.

It's engine braking on the front wheels only and rotational momentum of the back end that cause it, not power.

The ditchfinders on the back of my 325 compact are proving equally daft at the moment. Oversteer is a throttle prod away at any moment.

I think it's more than that, I suspect they have new tyres on the front too, probably did a "rotation" recently. That Yaris should have understeered long before lift off oversteer started.

Knackered rear dampers wouldn't help either.

Or they just bought 2 new tyres, ignored all the expert advice and put them on the front because it’s front wheel drive
