The reasons for this aren't all the reasons you imagine. Rear end shunts happen because people drive too close and don't pay enough attention.
Obviously. But too close and not paying attention is related to a) our reaction times b) our ability to judge changing speeds c) the way our brains process visual stimuli, and d) the way we acclimatise to risk. Sadly none of those evolved with driving in mind. Hence it's a good idea when driving to consider that and not stop randomly without being absolutely certain that the driver behind is aware of what you're doing.

OK, final time to see if I can get this through to you. It does not matter whether the C-Max stopped because they felt like it or because they had to, the fact is they stopped. The DCW then drove into the back of them as they failed to stop in time to avoid doing so. The reason? Because they were not paying attention. The reason for the C-Max stopping is irrelevant, the only reason the impact occurred is because the DCW was not paying attention, there is no other reason. It's simple logic. Now let's get back to the videos.

If the CMAX wasn't there, would the DCW have crashed into it?

"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" confused

Perhaps the cam car was unmarked police and the car that pulled out was exactly the one they were looking for, which is why they followed it.

That car crossing is off the long straight coming out of the south of Bradford on Avon, NSL (cough) into short 30 then the crossing. Put it this way, locals know not to speed there and watch that turning with hawk eyes, common occurrence there..

Thomas and Costin have to be the highlights there. Retards. Hilarious. I'm only sorry to see Thomas's clip ended before we could hear what happened.

Takes s special type of arrogance to pull a stunt like Thomas and then chase the other car down and post it on the internet.

Too fast, too aggressive, maybe the Merc should have seen him but the faster you go above the posted limit, the more you are responsible, other drivers are expecting cars travelling at around the limit and that is why the limit is set at that level, do that much over it other drivers cant easily mitigate for it.

Fair play to the woman in the Mini taking the littering stbag in the van to task, bloody peasants.

Wishful thinking but maybe he had his dash cam shoved where it belongs!

I thought Mark at 6.00 could have slowed ,but then a he was in a Jazz? he may have been hoping the ugliness og it might have repelled the dustcart out of his way!
