This happened today. Bad mobility vehicle driving.

First time i've felt the ABS kick in in a long, long time. Pedestrians are not allowed to cross when cars are turning right. As I turned I saw the couple crossing late so my attention was on them. Then suddenly this moron on the mobility vehicle just comes out of nowhere without even looking. Came very close to hitting them. Done this junction a million times and every now and then someone will cross when they shouldn't but this idiot had a death wish
Pedestrians were still crossing and you decided to accelerate into them? Well done mate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sroRgz9sY6s

Scared, wondering about your comment when you say "Pedestrians are not allowed to cross when cars are turning right", where does that come from?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sroRgz9sY6s

I always thought if they were on the carriageway you are obliged to give way to,them?
Lots of comments on why you didn't see the guy in the mobility scooter, easy to say looking at it ten times. Thank god you saw him.

Some quite good clips in this short compilation from Drive Like An Idiot
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhTBPP5kGYw
Particularly like the utter morons in the last clip that pull up and park in the contraflow by Paddington Station to load up with laundry. To hell with everyone else, we're alright Jack!
I do not in anyway condone the excellent right cross given by the pedestrian to the black Corsa driver in the first clip.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhTBPP5kGYw

My first thought with that video is what is it with people leaving a cars length or more from the white line at lights
It is then possible to proceed on the amber, for a prompt getaway, but not cross the line until green! But watch out for cross traffic jumping the lights!I would, of course, not recommend this procedure!
When I see these clips I cannot help but hopes driver-less technology arrives ASAP. And even before then so many of these idiotic accidents could be prevented by basic systems like the ones Volvo now has on their cars...
Will make roads much better for people who actually care and know how to drive..

The driver of the Tesla is a moron if he can’t see why the car is doing that. The road markings disappear for a moment near the left and the next set are on the right of the car. Thus the car tries to steer back left of them.http://digg.com/2019/tesla-autopilot-crash
If the car crashes that is the result of the driver being a moron and not understanding how the technology works.

The point is that until the roads have perfect markings everywhere, with all these sort of ambiguities removed, we're not going to be able to rely on self-driving cars. Someone's always going to have to be wide awake and watching the road and making some decisions and corrections quicker than the car does.
So anyone hoping the automated driving will save us from the st drivers, they're going to be waiting a while.

Yeah I think you've missed the point a bit. We can all easily see why the car tries to steer the way it does.

Any self-driving car would identify the multiple keep right arrows and clearly marked barriers and not collide with them at speed, not to mention having crowd-sourced where other cars are going. The Tesla is not a self-driving car but has some function that attempts to blindly follow road markings. The point is that until the roads have perfect markings everywhere, with all these sort of ambiguities removed, we're not going to be able to rely on self-driving cars.
