As someone even older than TonyGravelwoodCars I've not watched any gaming videos, do people watch them for the gameplay or for the banter/commentary provided by the Youtuber?

The latter. I watch way more gaming videos than I do actually play any games hehe

Off topic, I've made a post in Photography/Video looking for recommendations on improving my audio. If anyone from here can chip in, that'd be appreciated!

Mine are somewhere in the middle; a shift down from Jon for sure, however interestingly picking out specific videos can often change the results.

Any video in its first day will have a younger viewership as those are the people clicking straight away, but then look at the last 90 days of a 12 month old video and the stats will be skewed towards much higher age groups - sometimes I can find videos where categories like 35-44 will the be largest. Makes sense for a Ferrari review if you consider who are actually the buyers...
But where are these stats from? Presumably you have to (a) be signed up to Youtube for it to record your age when you watch a vid and (b) can give Youtube any age that you like when you sign up (as I doubt they verify it).

I don't think YouTubers should use their channels to advertise the sale of their own or connected parties cars.

These two conversations illustrate why. One took place before the car was put up for sale and the other took place shortly after it was sold -

Interesting and very detailed links there!

However, to consider, if you went to a garage with a car and needed a trade offer, of course it would be the least desirable spec and worth nothing. Yet if it was on the dealer forecourt it would obviously be rare and highly desirable and command top dollar. This definitely doesn't just relate to cars, but business of any type whether it's professional or private.
I agree, but it’s the discussion about the current and future values that I really take issue with. It’s not as if they’re impartial.

The roles of dealers and customers are clearly defined, but I think there’s a relationship between YouTubers and their audiences, which, rightly or wrongly, may lead some people to place a greater level of trust in what they’re told.

In the first video the cars are described as ‘pretty decent places to have cash,’ they ‘hold their money very well’ and are ‘safe cash.’ In the second, it was ‘the best time to go,’ ‘you got out at the right time’ and ‘a tiny bit of volatility in the market means you can lose a big wedge.’ That certainly suggests the advice given in the first video was incorrect.

I'm assuming the cars are sold on consignment. Does anybody know what sort of commission the dealers take?

Female car vlogger ThatFezGal has decided to do a calendar. Fair play to her for recognising her audience and taking advantage of it, but as an employee of the NHS I aren't sure whether or not it is a sensible move or not. Also as a long term wanting to be take seriously, especially by potential sponsors, though they may see it as an opportunity as well to get more exposure...

I few in her comments have said the same but she's answered that it's all been sorted with her work .

Personally it's all a bit 90's max power and she's like a little girl so not for me .

Of course, everything people say on YouTube is true right? When you are employed by a company there is now often a bringing the company into disripute etc, often via the internet, you can face disciplinary action. I cannot see the NHS being that different, despite what she says. In her position I would be careful.

Also, totally agree, very max power.

I know Queen B has been mentioned a few times on here, and I never though her content was up to much at all, but this just cropped up on my YouTube and actually looks decent. Good quality editing and filming and some decent locations etc.

It’s a well known issue on the Huracan, with a permanent AWD setup the diffs are set to work when all rotating at the same rate.
Utter nonsense.

The standard fitment tyres aren't even the same profile, so don't even run at the "same rate" from the factory! Standard tyres for the Huracan are 245/30-20, and 305/30-20 - about a 5.4% difference in circumference/diameter between front and rear. Loads of people have run 20/21 on Huracans with no issue. With a 9J front and 12J rear (typical setup), you could run 255/30-20 and 325/25-21... and guess what, same ratio.

This just sounds like typical misinformed forum talk.

The mis-matched rolling circumference of the new wheels can bugger up the diffs apparently.
And void the warranty yada yada...
Except the rolling circumference is mismatched from the factory.

No, everything is set to work at that particular ratio. Big difference.

Quite a few US cars running 325's according to various forum that pop up on Google. I'd disconnect the front diff' personally. wink

I think we need to take a second to appreciate how well shes managed to do to get a redbull deal, this show must have cost hundreds of thousands to produce & for someone who has a relatively small following, to me thats impressive!

This whole thing looks so professionally produced i cannot wait to see how it comes out ( and she uses an S15 so im pretty bias lol)

Hoping to get her on the podcast, shes already provisionally agreed but im waiting to get a bit more practise in before i get the guests that arn't my friends on

I met Queen B a few years ago in Shoreditch.

She was by the tunnel at Wheler St taking photos of a old red BMW.
Got a feeling she was shooting this:

Very nice car and she seemed alright.

Looks promising. She seems alright, haven't watched much of her stuff but it does seem she's making the effort to produce proper content, rather than just clickbaity instabragging..... Didn't realise she had kart / racing experience too, pretty cool.

No easy thing to get a Red Bull deal like that so will keep an eye on the project.
