I actually felt sorry for Paul (SOL) in the content that TGE and Archie uploaded a few days which also featured Tony. TGE basically bashed Paul because he didn't like the SVJ and if that wasn't bad enough, Archie and Tony also joined in and had a run at him. Not sure if Paul was in on it because he looked uncomfortable. And it's really too bad that TGE keeps making videos bashing cars and how they loss money when like I said earlier his SV has taken a massive loss and will continue to trend downwards.

This is one reason why I still enjoy watching Tim, he picked up a Ford GT and Senna and has yet to brag about them or put others down. Imagine if the three stooges got one of these cars, ithey would put out content for days on how rich they are and how everyone around them is peasants.

They're just playing up to their audiences. We're not their intended audience. That's my view.

Precisely. I’ve said it before on this thread, watch TGE on any of the LDNM videos and it’s a completely different person.

Thoughts on 'Behind the Glass' becoming an animated series from now on?

Personally, I think it's pretty lame. The animation is very rigid and dare I say 'cheap' - However, it isn't as cheap as just recording surely? Even if the guests are remote, I'd rather watch a Skype recording than some weird animation... But then again I think, it's a podcast, I don't need to watch... But if that's the case, why even bother with the animation? Full circle.

I listen to the podcast audio only so it doesn't affect me, but I think the comments on the intro video sum things up...

Haven't looked at the comments since last night and there weren't so many at that time. Nicely sums it up I guess hehe

He'll be doing this to reduce the time it takes to create the podcast whilst he's travelling. No video means he can have guests on that aren't sitting next to him as I believe Tony is still the co-host (and not travelling the world with him)

Also rendering and editing time for a video podcast will be a magnitude higher than audio only so lots of time saved here too.

Animation will serve as a way to provide highlights and keep the channel alive for the year. I'd rather he just upload audio only full episodes to YouTube with static logo.

I've not seen the video yet, but if they are "bashing Paul", it's just banter. Everyone only has respect for the fact Paul actually bought a Murci, and wasn't put off his dream car by potential for huge bills.

And maybe TGE will lose money on the SV, maybe he won't. At the end of the day, he's got an SV. And an 812 coming. And whatever else he has in his garage. I've only driven the S and I'd be more than happy to lose 30k in a year to own an SV. Last of a kind and you're never going to lose a lot on it.

I must admit, I enjoyed the Shmee Senna Delivery Vs Salomondrin Senna Delivery analysis video. Surprising self-deprecating.

Not car- content, but the BBC has an interesting piece about Youtuber Burnout - something that has been alluded to a few times in this thread.

I cant imagine what the stress would be like for a pre-teen trying to match the workload and content of Tim et al, and having seen the nature of commenting on videos, I can see this affecting kids a lot more.

Seen Through Glass has just put a video up from Drive The World featuring a D-Type Jag. As far as I'm concerned, he's won the Internet today.

For me, videos with these sort of cars by far trump anything about Senna delivery, Senna PPF, Senna fires etc etc etc.

If STG carries on with this sort of content for DTW, as far as I'm concerned he will blow every other YT'er out the water.

Unfortunately, the audience votes with their eyes and I'm willing to bet a video about a Senna will absolutely dwarf a video about a D-Type. I agree that I'd much rather watch a video about a D-Type than another video about what kind of air freshener someone is going to buy for their Aventador but the masses disagree.

JWW put up a video of F40 which is absolutely sensational. Certainly a car I would rather have.

Don't get that impression of him in all honesty but I don't tend to be a jealous person, I love that he actually drives his cars. The video where he picks up his AMG GT R from Renntech and immediately takes it round the ring (in the wet) and does a run on the autobahn is especially brilliant.

I have a background in film, much of the YT world is very similar. Working years with lots of effort for no reward before you go anywhere, extreme criticism from all angles, constant pressure etc etc...

Not that it will affect 10 year olds, but despite all the dangerous things we did in film by far the biggest killer in the industry was driving whilst tired. I can imagine many YTers suffer from it - when you have a global audience there genuinely isn't a moment when you really stop working.
