It may have been covered previously but watching one of Tim's videos got me thinking.

How has he got so many parking spaces?

Is he running some sort of extortion racket within the apartment block where payment is in the form of a parking space?

The sensible answer is they are paid/rented for. Those costs in themselves must be an incredible amount considering the premium paid for space in London.

It looks like part of a storage business where numerous other cars store theirs. Since he's running a business, these costs will all be deductible from it.

I think he has a few below his flat and then the rest are in a car storage company nearby. He mentioned how much they cost in a video once I seem to remember, was eye watering.

Agreed, great video, watched it this afternoon, love the bit when he talked about driving it off road.

Engine above and in front of the front axel shows how it’s pure VW group underneath. Good to see it being abused though!

So TGE bought a Jimny! https://youtu.be/QTJZFpiV-VA
Interesting to see how it’s gone - TGE (145k subs) is up to 90k views in a week, whilst Archie (220k subs) is on 42k views for his ‘part 2’ of the reveal. Just to compare, a guy who has 500 subscribers posted a drive of a demo car a few weeks ago and has 33k views.

Then there are loads of standard review type videos with hundreds of thousands of views culminating in Carwow with approaching 2 million views of their review. So definitely differences around for the car.

Are Suzuki doing a big push on the Jimny? Has anyone else here been contacted by them? Seeing a lot of the new Jimny on social media from places I wouldn't expect to see it. Interesting to see how Suzuki's marketing dept has pushed this one out. The Jimny in TGE's video is still down as being owned by the dealership on unit stocking. I'm curious as to whether it's a purchase or a long-termer from Suzuki + a few quid for the lifestylers.

Not YT related, but they are also being heavily pushed for fleet users too - we have about a dozen on long term demo at the moment - Swifts, Jimnys and Vitaras.

A bit small for me and my needs, but they are decent enough everyday motors

If you are a fan of The Skid Factory (a channel that does things like put a twin turbo V8 into a Nissan Skyline) then they've moved to their own channel now and you won't see their content on MCMTV2 any more. I didn't know this until a lad from my work gave me a heads up to subscribe to the new channel.

Presumably TGE would have declared it if he was receiving financial or other inducement from Suzuki to shill for this vehicle? rofl

Hop over to the Suzuki Jimny release thread where a few dealers are giving their input. But to all intents and purposes the new Jimny is sold out with a 12 month waiting list, 600 units (200 being demo cars) in the first 6 months then same again in second part of 2019. A ‘interested in finding out more’ link on the Suzuki site led to 11,000 registrations of interest by November.

Customers don’t really have a choice to ‘spec a car’, the dealers get 2 or 3 cars in a spec given to them by Suzuki uk each 6 months and go through their lists of people with deposits to see who wants one in the spec they have been given. I believe the TGE car is a cancelled order that they will get when it’s delivered shortly. I’ve had my name down for one since early last summer...

Been getting into HubNut's channel a bit more recently. Seen a few of his videos in the past but not really "got into it" as such. Having watched quite a few now, it's a refreshing change to see someone who can identify most cars from pre-2000, unlike quite a few of the supercar vloggers. Not only that, someone who isn't afraid to lift the bonnet and get oily. Watched a video of him wandering around Bicester, his knowledge is really rather impressive. I rather like the way he isn't afraid to show his disgust and lack of interest towards anything remotely exotic.

Have you watched the Xmas 2cv rally one ?

Watching a 2cv going up tan hill and getting airborne is one of the best things I’ve watched recently.

I've enjoyed a few Hubnuts videos recently as well. It's good to see people making content about 'sheds' as well as brand new vehicles (he detailing video on the red Skoda was better than most detailing videos I've seen as you could actually notice the difference).

The above recommendation reminds me I need to go back and finished watching his 2CV roadtrip series having only watched the first episode.

It’s episode 2 where the 2cv gets air smile

Another good one is called how not to buy a Bentley, or something along those lines .
