You don't have to be wealthy to have a garage and enough room to park. Loads of people have car projects on the go.
So where I live and most of my mates live, there's barely any room for parking, maybe one car and that is street parking or one allocated parking space if they live in a flatLooking at garages to rent that could actually fit one or two cars, I'm seeing around £300-350 a month minimum for a small garage that will fit one car with an adequate amount of room to work on a car. There are cheaper ones available however you'll struggle to park the car in there and open the door to get in or out.

Yep, some places are very populated and demand a premium, this doesn't represent the full UK though.Looking at garages to rent that could actually fit one or two cars, I'm seeing around £300-350 a month minimum for a small garage that will fit one car with an adequate amount of room to work on a car. Genuinely interested to know which part of the UK would be equivalent for this, guessing somewhere around the Scottish border?
There seems to be a growth in former farms being converted into business units. I have a customer near Romford who has a 25 vehicle unit in one, and a few others with similar operations dotted around the country - usually within a few miles of large towns. Granted, not ideal for an hour or two tinkering after dinner though
Flexspace may be an option if you have a few mates in a similar position - https://flexspace.co.uk/workshop-space/

It came about because I had been put in touch with another YT'er (with a view to him doing a review on the E30 M3) and the guys with the cameras (Thomas Garner & Oli @officialmumbo) contacted me to see if I'd be up for doing the video with them. I wasn't paid, although I have been sponsored with parts and tyres from several companies like STACK and Nankang UK, due in part to the magazine editorial I write. The original YT'er I was put in touch with is doing a review with my E46 M3 later this year. If honest, I was really pleased to work on the Petrolicious video, as I feel the same way about them as you do, and I should make it clear I only do any of this stuff for fun.
Yes, Petrolicious is great indeed. YT could do better with more channels like that.Edited by e46m3Mark on Thursday 14th March 17:36
Ok, so by the sound of it it was a whole production company which filmed with your car?
Petrolicious must make enough money or they couldn't produce such nice movies.
Very few car channels can keep up with them in style and entertainment of their content.

As discussed in this thread previously, Petrolicious may or may not be profitable, its owners certainly don't need it to earn them a living.https://www.latimes.com/business/autos/la-fi-hy-pe...

Imagine owning a mint Mazdaspeed FD RX-7 Type-RS A-Spec, the one with the Perspex bumper driving lights from Gran Turismo, for a year, and selling it for £11k. One of only 200 made. Would probably be about £40k now.
<facepalm>
Ouch! As much as I'd love to have an RX7 I couldn't imagine paying near £40k for one these days as I don't think they're worth that. I would sooner save some cash and buy an E92 M3. I'd also be looking at a Vantage V8 or maybe even a MK1 R8 V10 manual for a little more. <facepalm>
The same goes for the crazy prices of the MK4 Supra, a new record set in the US recently at over 170k!
It looks like Archie is setting up another race with the RIMAC C2, if they can get a Chiron to race it then it'll probably be another viral video like the La Ferrari v Concept 1 was.
Seems like DDE and his "crew" are starting a lot of beefs of late. At first I thought it was for views which is maybe what they were doing but it seems like it's gone beyond just views. Now Alex Choi is getting called for talking crap and some local SoCal guys are making threats against DDE and his crew...

Nothing makes me ignore something more than a ‘beef’ between some YouTubers like that. Just pathetic. Craig_89 said:
I think Doug may have won the internet today with his video of Jay Leno's McLaren F1, over 200k views in 4 hours.
It was a hell of a review though, watching the part when he was sat in the car with Jay Leno driving you could tell by the look on his face he couldn’t quite believe it. KHK said:
