Pretty typical car show incident. 2nd gear the ECU will be letting the car have more torque so steps sideways. Nobody can actually drive any more so panic sets in. The overcorrection and crash. Unfortunately these cars and their traction control calibrations assume a basic level of ability and are surprisingly lax. They also take time to kick in sometimes and aren't infallible.
I would also suggest there was a grip disparity between the replacement tarmac patch and the rest of the road. It’s right as it hits the patch the rear steps out. Possibly the car going in to 2nd added to the situation.Then like you say, the traction control allows some leeway and driving ability wasn’t sufficient to catch it.

It's sad how supercars are commodities...for vloggers.
For example matey crashed his car and gets swarmed by people with cameras but they don't ask him if he is OK instead it's all about who can get the footage of the f
ked car first so they get views on their channels.... sad.
It's bad enough trying to drive through central london in rush hour let alone if you have the unfortunate luck of being behind a supercar due to all the kids running in between traffic trying to get videos of the supercar.

Was parked in front of that grey car earlier in the day. Shame to end the day like that, it was a really good turn out and some fantastic cars.
The vast majority of the cars were really well behaved - a few good revs etc but nothing silly. The only people I saw being silly were a few cars driving past in modified 'normal' cars... e.g. C63, M3, ... Golf Rs...

Well it was you who brought them up on this page.I’ve noticed a few other influencers have said the car spotters/enthusiasts who are posting the clip of the crash are all pathetic and need to stop. They should be thankful that these supercar owners are sharing their cars with people.
At the end of the day, if the driver hadn’t decided to drive like an idiot on public roads then there wouldn’t be a video to share.
I am probably an idiot on the roads. Especially when driving something fruity. But you would never ever catch me driving like a knob when cameras are around like that. I’d much rather be the boring guy at a meet and have my fun when I’m round the corner away from cameras and driving home.

The one I was thinking of was LHD so mainland Europe or the US I guess. This isn't far off though.
