Calling it out for not being a 3-dr is pathetic....
Eugh, I hate 5 door cars... personally makes the Focus RS a no go for me, although I'm rapidly running out of options! So I think it's definitely worth calling out.RacerMike said:
Worth mentioning that you can buy a kit that lowers the seats to a sensible height. I have them in mine and it transforms the car:

The later car has lowered seats compared to the early car already, this review has the feel of someone who's picked any negatives from previous reviews and collated them here.http://www.jcr-developments.com/ford

Happy to have got shot of my RS, colossal mistake that won't be repeated. Lost a few more bags of sand that I was hoping for on it but never mind, lesson learned!
Looks cack in Red, unusual for a performance Ford to look so bad in that colour. But clearly there will always be a market for these niche products.

So I think it's definitely worth calling out.If you buy performance cars based on their interiors then you are going to be disappointed. The correlation between car performance and interior design is regrettably not a strong one, whoever the manufacturer.
Equally, if you expect used car prices to go up while the vehicle is still in production with sufficient supply, then you don't understand how the laws of supply and demand work. Wait after they have gone out of production, and then watch the prices.

How come in all the glowing reviews I head on these RS's , no-one ever mentions their alarming propensity to destroy engines at extremely low mileages ? My brother has been through 3 engines in as many years, all did less than 10k, ( one 3k ! ). A quick search on the web reveals he is not the only one, yet all I ever read is how great they are. And the hassle to get Ford to admit there is a problem and replace them was unbelievable.

Please please please could you find the time to fabricate and post a conversation on the RS between your two currant incarnations Humandoing, making sure that you thoroughly cover the topic of residuals of course, as it would be highly entertaining for the rest of us!!Looks cack in Red, unusual for a performance Ford to look so bad in that colour. Ford haven't engineered out the fault.....its a basic design issue in the head/ block.
For owners it must be like driving around in a hand-grenade with the pin out.
Any track use will cook it.....funny how you see hardly any on circuit especially at the Ford RS owners days oh except for the parade laps!

Suggest you look at a new(ish) website called youtube, plenty of track videos on there amongst other things. For owners it must be like driving around in a hand-grenade with the pin out.

When i did a track day at Anglesey, last September, a guy from Belgium drove down in his Focus RS, hoofed it round the track all day, then drove back the next day and even went the long way and spanked it round some lovely roads around Wales. No issues, no fuss. He even took me out for a few passenger laps in it and he was peddling that thing hard. I was left very impressed, even after driving a 997 Carrera S all day.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
