I'd love to smoke around in one. I'd feel a bit of a prick when someone pulled up in the inevitable similarly-specced forthcoming Audi RSQ8 for half the price though....
Don't worry, the lambo customers have spoken and don't mind paying another 100k for a rebadged Audi. VAG really know how to make money, wouldn't be surprised if the Lambo one is made in Italia and Germany.

2,2 tons and 190 mph chrashing into other cars is - in energy terms - equivalent to 3,0 kgs of TNT blowing up - equivalent to 8 handgrenades. That is lethal in the wrong hands.
So is a Segway at walking speed.A lorry at 56 has way more kinetic energy for that matter.

Love this, cant wait to see one.
Think this is the car to turn a few of the SUV haters over to the dark side.
Why, because slapping a supercar badge on a restyled Q7 somehow changes things?Think this is the car to turn a few of the SUV haters over to the dark side.
Instead it seems to be mostly car enthusiasts who love the insanity that Lamborghini stands for, whether they have any desire or ambition to ever own one not really thinking that this car is a Lamborghini. Not because it is an SUV but because every single part on it is an VWAudi part. This car is categorically an Audi that has had a different badge stuck in so that they can charge £100k more.
The economics do make sense but that just makes it even more VW Audi! A little bit of leather trim does not make something Italian. The whole point of Lamborghini is that it is Italian and a product that embraces everything that is wrong, crazy and beautiful about Italian culture. This car is German. There is absolutely nothing Italian about it whatsoever.
Everything that defines to the very heart of what an Italian product is. Everything that makes an Italian product so wonderful and so desirable. Everything that makes an Italian product absolutely unique across the planet has been stamped out. Crushed by the overwhelming and all conquering blandness of German efficiency and suffocating desperation for profit at all costs regardless of humanity.
So, so fussy and over styled.
Saying only people who cant afford are slating it is a massive over simplification.
I'm sure it will sell, but mainly to those with lots of money but near zero taste / hired out for weddings etc.
I cant help wondering what it would of looked like if it was designed in the early 2000's, when the Murcielago and Gallardo were, in my opinion, the cleanest & nicest looking Lamborghinis.

I actually don't mind the looks - it's a break from the norm, and will sell well - particularly in the Middle East. But I dare say we will see plenty of them here in Blighty & neighbouring mainland Europe too.
On the ever-recurring subject of Lamborghini's 'first' SUV, the LM002, they made 328 of them over 7 years. I believe they'll make 250 Urus every quarter to start with, then upscale production as required.

Looks f*cking sh*te the front end looks like the trim has fallen off leaving some gaping maw. Isn't all the mud/water etc going to go straight through all that plastic grill and end up on your rads and other integral parts of the car? Chop off the bottom 1/4 and it looks like a nice car. Part of me wonders if they lied to the designer and just stretched out his design height wise.
Won't be able to argue once the sales figures come through but surely they'll be purely badge driven nobody is buying this on looks!

As modern huge SUV's go, I think it looks quite good from the front.. A little bit vulgar (in a good way).
That said, it does appear to be a 'white goods' Lamborghini (the first?) that has very little lasting appeal. It makes even the likes of the Islero and Urracco appear timeless classics..
Excellent car but all the romance of a very expensive television.

They missed a trick not fitting a TT V12, now that would be Lamborghini.
No, removing the four wheel drive, two seats, over a 1000Kg, 1.5m of height, infotainment, drivers aids, parking sensors etc etc etc etc, now THAT would be a Lambo And perhaps untethering them from VW, too.
A positive thing however, is since oil burners are going out of fashion, they're unlikely to produce a diesel version (certainly not with VWs rep.).
Imagine it, a Lamborghini 4X4 with infotainment, parking sensors and glow plugs - I think I'd have to move to another planet
