Can you not read....?

"Luxury car dealer Carl Hartley, 30, from Derbyshire, was involved in the collision, his businessman father Tom confirmed today"
But that doesn't actually clarify if he was the one in the Porsche and had handed himself in already, or the driver of the Porsche had handed himself in and was not being named..

It says in the Daily Fail article the Porsche driver is 26 so if Carl is 30 & the reporting is accurate...

'Carl Hartley, 30, who is worth £23million, was caught up in the smash in Sheffield, south Yorks, on Sunday night.

His father Tom Hartley, who is worth an estimated £130million, today told MailOnline that his son was 'ok' following the collision.'

'The 26-year-old driver of the Porsche suffered minor injuries.'

Reads that they know both drivers, one (Hartley in the Ferrari) and the other (26 year old unnamed) in the Porsche.. But...

'The driver of the Ferrari was not at the scene when officers arrived and it is not known if they sustained any injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and any passengers.'

Reads that they don't know the Ferrari driver, so I reckon that's a C&P from an earlier article.

Gets business/money from his dad.

And it seems his dad speaks for him too.

Pathetic.

He does have form for making himself hard to like.

He had a spat on here once and I may be remembering this wrong but I think there was some racist element underpinning it.

His Twitter account is also a strange mixture of business stuff and semi-literate quotes with the odd heavy duty sweat word thrown in.

TH Jnr does seem somewhat better adjusted.

They do stock some lovely motors though.

From what I have seen GF speaks as he finds.

I wouldn’t disagree with him in this instance.

Makes you wonder whether they ran as they thought, they were in an area with a large Asian/British Pakistani population and had smashed two posh/fast cars up, nailed on everyone assumes its wedding shenanigans, and lets face it, it isnt unheard of, and to complete the subterfuge, throw a curry over the car biggrin

Clever, but not clever enough, as far as I am aware no self respecting person of Asian heritage would eat a Korma, which is basically a Dessert with Chicken in.

I mean, nobody was thinking that is probably a well known supercar dealer given the circumstances, but its good that the preconception was incorrect and that nobody was hurt, so, suitably chastened and feeling a bit guilty let us move on, and in future be less presumptuous and now get on with with what these knob sockets were up to, white, posh ones this time, now looking a bit of a great ttsby based on what we know so far.

I imagine his father is speaking for him under guidance from both lawyers and PR advisors, they do have a company image to try and protect,as for getting business/money from his dad plenty of people go to work in the family business so how can it be viewed as pathetic, surely the whole purpose of a family business is to ensure the family share in its success?

No chip. Not sure why you'd think that?

Please point out any inaccuracies in what I said.

Hes in the supercar business thanks to his father. No other reason.

He crashed (possibly pissed) and legged it in a vain attempt to avoid responsibility for his actions.

Even after all this time he's not surfaced by the look of it, so now his father is having to speak on his behalf.

He's 30 years old and runs away like a child and is seemingly hiding behind his father.

You think his father wants his name and business being associated with this st?

Based on his interactions on social media if they have a PR advisor they don’t listen to them.

I have no problem with inherited wealth or the dynastic nature of business.

This chap though seems to have rather abused his position. That’s all.

Taking no responsibility for your actions by running away is pathetic in my book. In any situation.

In this instance his name is on the numberplate FFS. He's clearly not a criminal mastermind...

If you wish to condone his actions, that's fine, but don't talk about chips on shoulders and don't presume you know me, in any way shape or form.

You care to point out where I condoned his actions, the guy is a tool. My opinion of you is based on your posts, it's how you come across on here.

Lets move on to important issues.

Given that the plate seems to be on the wrong car what are the chances of DVLA withdrawing it?

Oh, how delicious that would be. Especially since it's habitually mis-displayed.

You're the one playing the man not the ball, and making personal comments about me having a chip on my shoulder.

Please enlighten me. How do I come across on here? What's your opinion of me?

When he ran up the road fearing for his life after an angry mob arrived on the scene he took the trade plates with him obviously.

Might as well add misuse of trade plates to it, why not...

Oh, wait, don't tell me. He was going to meet a potential customer at the golf club, right?
