Funnily enough I watched that last night independently of seeing this post. I thought the iL had controls in the rear armrest for controlling the front passenger seat as well? Or was that not available in the US?ian316 said:

And rightly so! Great write up!
I'd be up for a losers conference, north of England/borders would be ideal but I suspect I'm in the minority there.
Jedburgh has a great car park near the abbey and some great roads to get there I'd be up for a losers conference, north of England/borders would be ideal but I suspect I'm in the minority there.

well that's 3 so far! Anyone else?
I could be up for that... Can farm the better half off to the Metro centre for the day If I ever get the SL back from the man (we’re still struggling getting a reasonably priced exhaust), then I shall (sorry!) take that for the trip out. Failing that, I can press the 7 into travelling duties.
Oh, and belated congratulations R129... a worthy front-page.

There are some good places to stay for those from further afield.

Totally off topic, but does anyone know whatever happened to Hornetrider? He's not been on PH for ages but was a regular.
Good question. Haven't seen him on the Liverpool thread in ages. That thread is pretty volatile so he might have been banned. 0a said:
That's a honey. Always puts me off when someone proclaims their car to be a bargain though.Blown2CV said:

On a similar note, where's strela?
Sadly he appears to have gone, and taken all his threads with him.Last heard of touring the South coast Ireland in his SL and taking lots of evocative photographs. Hope he's ok.

Disappeared it would seem. No ones knows if it's by choice or not AIUI, but it seems odd that all posts have gone.
In other news, my new AA solar charger is working well on the Touring. Definitely has more vigour in the starting motor.
Jury is out in my solar charger. Not really the fault of the charger though. The issue is that it only charges the main battery and not the auxiliary battery. The latter is going flat still and so ‘no brakes’ warning coming up on start up as this battery is used to power the sbc unit. Any clever ideas of how to wire in a second one to the aux battery under the bonnet? In other news, my new AA solar charger is working well on the Touring. W221 now in budget?
