Best smoker barges 1-5 large [Vol 13]
Discussion
Something a bit different. 36k miles LWB Daimler Double Six just outside top thread budget. Excellent MOT history, curly corded telephone. It was off the road from 2007 to 2015 so less time to rot too. If this checks out it could be a blinding bargain; I can confirm that nice as the AJV8 is the V12 is better, and not just slightly better either. I'd have one of these over an X308 without thinking for a second.

One problem:
Pics of it as a wedding car are available.

If you could get them in RHD, I'd consider an older Lincoln Navigator in a sensible spec as a genuine alternative to a FF Range Rover. Similar-ish build quality, larger and more practical, more reliable, cheaper to fix when required, which should be less often.
It's not as classy or nicely styled, granted.
I actually like Escalades / Navigators and would have bought one if I could have found a decent example. The main reason I bought my L320 was that it was in the best condition of anything I'd ever seen over here and it came from a seller I trusted, rather than any particular desire to own that specific model. I doubt any of the above cars would find much favour within these pages though. It's not as classy or nicely styled, granted.

Looks rather good - if you can bear to look at the facebook page there's a rather good startup video nestled amongst the vomit-inducing rubbish with some good starter action.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-Daimler-Double-S...

What irrationally puts me off an A8 is that they use the same buttons (and quality) as every other Audi - after a while the faces of the buttons have often worn off and it ruins the whole interior.
On a Merc they're often what the keyboard nerd would call "doubleshots" - the symbol in a different colour is cast into the plastic, rather than being a veneer on the top.
ETA: Now I've said it, I can't find a single example where it's present on a D3 A8...
It's only the hand brake and window switches on mine that look particularly bad and there are redesigned replacements for those but you're right, the design ought to have been better from the start. On a Merc they're often what the keyboard nerd would call "doubleshots" - the symbol in a different colour is cast into the plastic, rather than being a veneer on the top.

Wow. That's not perfect but it's very good, and the SWB is a much better looking car. I don't think they'll be available for £5k for long.I could spend hours looking at the photography on this site...

And that's just from that one car, oh and phwoar! ...I wonder if they jacked the old girl up and rotated the tyres so that P6000 and Pirelli aligned at the top of the tyres?).I could spend hours looking at the photography on this site...
That Jag is on the sold list, this slice of just above budget sumptuousness however:

How much would a vinyl wrap be for something this size?
I priced up wrapping the LS (from the current gold to brown) after seeing a wrapped E32 posted on here that looks particularly fantastic in metallic brown. A grand, all in.DoctorX said:

That lovely but bloody awful white XJ12 is crying out for a fun afternoon with a big can of this.
